Billy Dee Williams Smooth Talks As Lando Again In Star Wars Rebels

Hello, what have we here? While we might have known about it for months now and certain viewers could already see the episode online, it’s nice to officially have the announcement Billy Dee Williams will return to reprise his iconic role of Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Star Wars Rebels episode “Idiot’s Array” airing January 19th.

This won’t be the first time Billy Dee has returned to voice Lando, having done so for Robot Chicken, The Cleveland Show, Mad, the maybe not in-limbo anymore Detours series, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and most recently in The Lego Movie. Unlike the previous two original trilogy actors who returned to their roles for Rebels (Frank Oz and James Earl Jones), Lando will have a physical presence on the show and get directly tied up with the entire crew of the Ghost. This smooth operator will certainly prove troublesome and memorable for our heroes and I look forward to getting to learn a little bit more about a younger Lando outside of his Legends’ Adventures series. And yes, it might seem weird an older Billy Dee is voicing a younger Lando, but from the video above, it’s easy to tell he’s never lost that swagger.
