While we are primarily a Star Wars blog, Lucasfilm does more than Star Wars (I’m going to start watching the Willow show soon), the mynocks would never let me not mention Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny had its first trailer today (which you can watch below the cut). Back to Star Wars, the upcoming novel Jedi: Battle Scars by Sam Maggs had its full cover revealed and a blurb with intriguing new details, along with a confirmed release date of March 7. NYCC ’22: Lucasfilm Publishing Panel Reveals Inquisitor Book, Sana Starros Comic, More!

It’s not all The High Republic news when it comes to convention panels and the Lucasfilm publishing one never disappoints to cover a wide range of mediums and a great list of guests. For NYCC 2022, alongside some new covers and peaks inside upcoming releases, a few intriguing announcements were made: the novel Inquisitor – Rise of the Red Blade, the comic miniseries Sana Starros, and an original Star Wars Visions manga! Getting more insight to the Inquisitors sounds like great time, more Visions will always be a joy, but the bigger announcement for me was bringing Sana into the spotlight with her very own comic miniseries, written by Justina Ireland! NYCC ’22: New The High Republic Phase 2 Covers, Titles Announced!

With The High Republic’s Phase II beginning just this week with the release of Path of Deceit, the opening YA novel by Tessa Gratton and Justina Ireland (and our reviews you can read here!), the New York Comic Con panel easily could’ve been simply covers for some of the remaining Phase II content and fans (me!) would’ve been happy. But thankfully they love to bring more than that, as while plenty of covers were revealed for upcoming Phase II releases, we learned about some new content as well, like an intriguing YA Anthology which will span all THREE Phases of the era. Novel News: Jedi: Survivor Tie-in Novel, Jedi: Battle Scars Announced

The world around the Star Wars Jedi video game series by Respawn Entertainment is expanding ahead of the second gameJedi: SurvivorJust announced are both an art book (out May 2, 2023) for the sequel, but also an original novel written by Sam MaggsJedi: Battle Scars! Taking place between the first and second game, Battle Scars will feature an original story of Cal Kestis and the Mantis crew on an adventure. It’ll release March 7, 2023, and while there hasn’t been a release date for Jedi: Survivor yet, I’d bet it’ll be out around the same time as the novel. There’s no cover (minus a temp one) and no more extra details currently, but check back at the Manor for more coverage, including an eventual review of the game too!

The High Republic Phase 2 Detailed, New Books, Covers, Characters Revealed! (SWCA 2022)

Out of all the panels they live-streamed on Day 1 of Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022, thankfully it included the nearly hour-long The High Republic panel, which saw the luminous authors, Michael Siglain, Kristina Arielle, and more on the stage together for the first time in a long time, peeling back all the layers on October’s Phase 2 start. There’s tons of new concept art, covers, and title reveals, as well as unique little details on just how much more Wild West 150 years prior to Phase 1’s start the galaxy really is. Strap in for all the covers and particulars below, while you can watch the panel in the video above from the 2:24:17 mark (which is where it should start if you hit play, you’re welcome!), until the 3:40:42 mark now the panel has it’s own video upload! The Princess and the Scoundrel’s Beautiful Cover Revealed

Beth Revis’ The Princess and the Scoundrel, which will reveal Princess Leia and Han Solo’s wedding (and their crazy honeymoon on the Halcyon), now has a gorgeous painted cover by Oliver Cuthbertson! It’s got some The Courtship of Princess Leia vibes going for it, but far more modern, sleeker, and more gorgeous overall.
