Agents of SHIELD Review: “Who You Really Are”

Agents of SHIELD

Spoiler Review –

“Who You Really Are” initially comes off as a comical one-off episode, but quickly turns into something much much more, filling in some info regarding the Deviners, the Kree’s involvement with the Inhuman program, and revealing Skye’s secret to the team. Plus, Eddie McClintock of Warehouse 13 fame quests stars and Jaimie Alexander returns as Lady Sif, so it’s kind of a given this episode should’ve been enjoyable. Agents of SHIELD Review: “What They Become”

Agents of SHIELD

– Spoiler Review –

Everything Agents of SHIELD has done so far led to this surprising, action-packed, and revelatory episode, “What They Become,” which helps distance itself even further from the much maligned first season and proves it can evolve into an essential part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Agents of SHIELD Review: “…Ye Who Enter Here”

Ye Who Enter Here, Agents of SHIELD

– Spoiler Review –

While “…Ye Who Enter Here” certainly serves as a typical penultimate episode by moving players around and setting up events for the (winter) finale, it does it in the new, more confident Agents of SHIELD way: excitingly and entertainingly finding ways to raise the stakes. Continue reading “Agents of SHIELD Review: “…Ye Who Enter Here””

Agents of SHIELD Review: “The Things We Bury”

The Things We Bury

– Spoiler Review –

“The Things We Bury” seemed like an ironic title, as Agents of SHIELD spent most of this week uncovering and revealing surprising details about not only some of the big players on the show, but also information on the hidden city and the Diviner, while speeding us along this rollicking and exciting season. Continue reading “Agents of SHIELD Review: “The Things We Bury””

Agents of SHIELD Review: “A Fractured House”

A Fractured House – Spoiler Review –

Deception was the name of the game this week on Agents of SHIELD and it certainly had my head spinning around, keeping me guessing who was deceiving who in “A Fractured House.” Besides a nifty weapon and big action piece, there was a lot more time spent with Grant Ward, Simmons’ and Fitz’s issues are far from over despite finally being together again, and Bobbi and Hunter work out having to be on the same team together in a rather hilarious fashion. Agents of SHIELD Review: “A Hen in the Wolf House”

Bobbi Head of Hydra Security

– Spoiler Review –

Things are constantly moving at a fast and exciting pace this season on Agents of SHIELD and “A Hen in the Wolf House” was an exception, in that it actually moved faster and even more exciting than the previous weeks. It spent that time rather well, giving us more insight into Skye and her father, trouble for Simmons in Hydra, and introduced us to an important new character (and the last two points are related to each other in a surprising—kind of—way). Continue reading “Agents of SHIELD Review: “A Hen in the Wolf House””

Agents of SHIELD Review: “Face My Enemy”

Face My Enemy

– Spoiler Review –

While not everything was on point this week, Agents of SHIELD impresses again with “Face My Enemy.” It had a heaping dose of humor, a wish fulfillment fight, and a pre-credits ending which really hit the heavy notes, making for another entertaining episode in AoS’s enjoyable sophomore run. Continue reading “Agents of SHIELD Review: “Face My Enemy””

Agents of SHIELD Review: “Making Friends and Influencing People”

Simmons Working at Hydra

– Spoiler Review

“Making Friends and Influencing People” doesn’t chill (I couldn’t help myself) down Agents of SHIELD‘s already impressive second season, instead only adds even more intriguing and interesting layers. With the spot-on humor, a twisty plot, and great action/special effects, the return of another season one character set up some interesting events for SHIELD and Hydra.
