Mynock Manor Suggests Captain Phasma Expanded Content 1

Every once in a while, a character appears in a Star Wars film, full of intrigue and promise of future stories, deep lore, and expansive adventures. One such character was Captain Phasma, first introduced in the teaser trailer for The Force Awakens. With chrome armor and a long cape, Phasma gained the attention and excitement of fans across the galaxy. As part of the “Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi” initiative, Captain Phasma sets out to answer that question and it turns out, thanks to Kelly Thompson’s writing and the dynamic art from Marco Checchetto and colors by Andres Mossa, the garbage chute part looks to be the least important aspect of what might turn out to be quite the exciting journey. Annual’s are kind of like a box of chocolates, which we all understand means we don’t know what we’ll get when we open them. Star Wars Annual #2 therefore is like pulling your favorite candy out of said box, as it’s truly a pleasant surprise thanks to the introduction of a great new character, a much appreciated look at those who are stuck in the middle of the Rebellion and Empire’s fight, and a true deep-dive into Leia’s mindset post-the-destruction-of-Alderaan. Annual #2 is written by Kelly Thompson, art by Emilio Laiso, and colors by Rachelle Rosenberg, who all do an exceptional job bringing their own unique touches to the Star Wars universe.  Continue reading “Canon Comic Review: Star Wars Annual #2”
