Staying at hotels, B&Bs, and even Airbnb’s there are often concierge services available about what to see and do in the area you’re visiting, so we’ve opened the concierge desk at the Manor to offer suggestions on what to read, watch, and enjoy when wanting to find out more about your favorite Star Wars characters now that you have the free time to do so! One of the most popular characters to come out of the Marvel comics line is Sana Starros: bounty hunter, smuggler, con-woman, and potentially, an ex-wife?? Creating an extra wrinkle for our heroes very early in the canon reset, Sana Starros took a starring role in the comics as her backstory was fleshed out, and we’re happy to share with you the best places to get acquainted with her!

Mynock Manor Suggests: Lando Calrissian Expanded Content

As much of the world faces quarantine to help combat the pandemic, staying at home opens up a lot of free time for many people. It’s a time to catch up on movies one has always wanted to watch, shows to binge, books/comics to read, boardgames to play, etc., and since the halting of new comics has opened up time/space at the Manor, we’ve decided to start a long overdue service: the Concierge! Canon Comic Review: Star Wars Annual #1

The Star Wars on-going series gets its first Annual issue, which breaks off from the current on-going story (we’re in the middle of the crossover event Vader Down as of this writing) and instead focuses on a rebel spy, Eneb Ray, who’s been undercover in the Imperial government for years. When a chance at killing the Emperor appears, will Eneb risk everything he and other Rebellion spies on Coruscant have worked for all these years? Canon Comic Review: Lando #5

It’s all been leading up to this: trapped on Palpatine’s ship, former allies now enemies, and all his friends in danger, how could Lando—and Lobot—survive to see the pleasant lights of Cloud City? The answer, befitting of the excellent series so far, is all sorts of bittersweet and tragic…in the best way possible for readers, with Lando #5 cementing the series as another must-read from Marvel’s additions to the new canon. Canon Comic Review: Lando #4

Somehow, issue after issue, things continuously look worse and worse for Lando Calrissian and his crew aboard the Imperialis. If I didn’t know he was going to be in a movie that takes place later in the timeline, I for one wouldn’t think he’d find a way out of this situation. And while he will, it might cost those around him more than it’ll cost him, at least physically, but psychologically? That’s a different matter. Canon Comic Review: Lando #1

Lando Calrissian, the smoothest smuggler and entrepreneur in the galaxy, certainly sounds like a good choice to star in a comic series, especially since glimpses at his past (whether they are Legends or canon) have proved he’s an entertaining character. He might have gotten pigeonholed and sidelined in the later years of Legends novels, but he’s had a resurgence of late thanks to his appearance on Star Wars Rebels. Does Lando #1 continue the trend of giving Calrissian more of the spotlight he deserves?
