Smuggler’s Run is a Han (and Chewbacca)-centric YA novel in the “Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens” initiative, set between Ep. IV and V, written by Greg Rucka with art from Phil Noto. While not as deep as Leia’s novel, Moving Target, Smuggler’s Run has a very strong Han Solo characterization, competent Imperials, and a good sense of adventure. Just prior to SDCC 2015, the official site unveiled covers for the Young Adult novels in the “Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens” line and they gave us a blurb from Aftermath, the first canon post-Return of the Jedi novel, which actually contained details on the story including a fan favorite character’s return! EW.com had the exclusive reveal this morning about the upcoming plans for the lead-up to The Force Awakens, which will consist of at least 20 books, including YA novels, adult novels, stickerbooks, comics, and more.
