EW Uncovers Wealth of Secrets from The Last Jedi

Entertainment Weekly’s Fall Movie preview has plenty of The Last Jedi goodies, including a picture of Chewbacca and a Porg in the Millennium Falcon (seen above) and it’s just so damn adorable I just can’t even right now. Seriously, all they could’ve had for TLJ news was that picture alone and I’d be perfectly content. Thankfully, it’s not all they have, as they reveal Ahch-To’s Caretakers (grumpy old Scottish alien nuns!), that your Snoke theories won’t end, more details on Rose and Finn’s time together, of course some deep bits about Rey and Luke, a truly heartbreaking but beautiful memory of Carrie Fisher from Oscar Isaac and more! They normally roll it out over several days, but I waited until they finished and gathered it all here below for your convenience! Continue reading “EW Uncovers Wealth of Secrets from The Last Jedi”

Part I

The Do-Gooder

It had been months since Luke Skywalker had fought Darth Vader in Cloud City. A plan had taken shape between Luke, Princess Leia and Lando Calrissian to save Han Solo from his carbonite prison at Jabba the Hutt’s palace. In the weeks leading up to the day that they’d infiltrate the palace, Luke stayed on Tatooine living in Obi-Wan Kenobi’s old hut, an ivory colored, dome-shaped desert igloo that had few comforts but enough to stay cool during the day, warm at night and live a simple life. He filled his days with Jedi training, reading Obi-Wan’s journals, practicing lightsaber dueling as best he could and meditating with the Force. Rogue One - Cassian & K-2SO Special

– Spoiler Review –

Ever curious how Cassian ended up with a reprogrammed Imperial droid named K-2SO? Legendary Adventures: Darth Bane: Path of Destruction

Legendary Adventures #9 Darth Bane Path of Destruction

A trilogy about a Sith Lord? Uh-oh! Thankfully, Darth Bane: Path of Destruction points us toward the movies as we learn the sordid history, and almost destructive end, of the ancient Sith Lords!

Canon Novel Review: Battlefront II: Inferno Squad

Battlefront II Inferno Squad

Minor Spoiler Review –

Battlefront II: Inferno Squad, by Christie Golden, ties into the upcoming Battlefront sequel’s singleplayer campaign, giving readers the story behind the inception of main character Iden Versio’s titular Imperial squad. Filled with nuanced complexity about the war between the Rebellion and the Empire that makes for a gripping, fast-paced read, Inferno Squad is an excellent birth place for the exciting new protagonist Iden Versio, though its short length is both a strength and a weakness that leads to a few, minor other ones.
