Ever since the full trailer in early April, we’ve gotten a steady stream of new morsels of footage from Solo: A Star Wars Story in various TV spots. However, the most intriguing new footage yet comes from a featurette released over Infinity War weekend, “Becoming Solo,” which talks with Donald Glover (Lando), Lawrence Kasdan (writer), Alden Ehrenreich (Han himself), Emilia Clarke (Qi’ra), and Ron Howard (director) about the Han Solo we’ll meet in Solo. It also features some gorgeous shots and certainly continues building my hype for the film. Check out the latest TV spots below!
The featurette shows more of Han on Mimban, in Imperial armor, as well as Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrleson) and Val (Thandie Newton) meeting up with him there, though it’ll be curious to find out if it’s part of the job the trailers keep talking about or beforehand (or both). The gorgeous new vista shots from cinematographer Bradford Young elicited ohhs and awws from me here, I can only imagine they’ll make me weep once I see them on the big screen. Also, what is that worm and how do I get the hell away from it? Less than a month until we have all the answers!
There’s also a really solid interview with Ehrenreich over at Esquire, which is where the comment about being signed onto three films comes from, along with him addressing rumors (like the acting coach stuff), and how he got his start in the industry.
