Jedi Fallen Order Dark Temple #4

– Spoiler Review –

In Jedi: Fallen Order – Dark Temple’s penultimate 4th issue, the truce made last issue doesn’t last long, while Cere Junda and Eno Cordova begin to unlock secrets of the temple everyone is so eager to explore.

Jedi Fallen Order Dark Temple 4 Full CoverNow that Cere and Eno are together again, we get plenty of their humorous interactions, something I’ve missed since the opening issue: at one point Cere is in trouble (surprise!) and Eno makes a last minute save, and when she asks him how he knew, his snide remark about hearing the sound of her getting in trouble is priceless. I wish the series had more of this, but since they’ve split up again here, we might get less still in the final issue, especially with the ominous framing story opening where the Second Sister Inquisitor finds En-Threelo, who blames the destruction of the Temple and the area around it on the Jedi.

We didn’t get to spend a whole lot of time exploring the Temple with Eno, and when Cere enters to come to his rescue, she does even less exploring. But Eno does uncover someone added new booby traps to the place and Cere comes afoul of hulking Temple guard droids, while Daa’s men are so desperate the Jedi don’t survive inside they’re willing to hurt themselves. While Cere exits the Temple to help the Fylari with an encroaching Daa army, Eno remains inside to explore more and figure out why both sides want to have or keep control of the Temple. The Daa army is overwhelming, but it’s revealed the Fylari have one last trick up their sleeves…and it’s in the Temple! Considering they claimed not to know much about it, the fact that Neralli sneaks in, knocking out Master Eno, as one last ditch effort to fight back the Daa Corporation, they’ve been withholding just as much info as Daa was when the Jedi arrived. But which should we want to prevail, if any at all? And what happens that Ontotho and the Temple are in ruins in the time of the Empire? We’ll find out next month…or even this Friday, when the video game Jedi: Fallen Order releases, in which Cere Junda stars as one of the main characters!

Here are a few other things:

  • I’ve had my suspicions Eno Cordova was the hologram talking to Cal Kestis in the game’s earlier trailer and in a gameplay preview, Entertainment Weekly revealed this to be the case.

Jedi: Fallen Order – Dark Temple #4 is setting up for all the series’ burning questions to be answered in its finale next month!

+ Cere and Eno together again

+ Looks like answers are coming!
