Comic News: 2023’s Pride Month Variants Announced, Jaxxon Returns in Hyperspace Stories Annual

After the stunning work for the Black History Month and Women’s History Month variant covers, there’s been increased anticipation for 2023’s Pride Month variants and after today’s reveal of the first handful (I’ll update this article as the rest roll in), they might just be the best batch of Pride Month variants yet! Featuring work done by LGBTQIA+ artists, characters like Sana Starros, Domina Tagge, Kantam Sy, and even Cinta and Vel from Andor will grace the covers, among others. Elsewhere in comics news, a civil war is brewing on Endor and the only person who can stop it is…Jaxxon?! Star Wars Comics June 2023 Solicitations

Summer is in the air, flowers are in full bloom, and you are probably just like me, trying to avoid allergies and get to your local comic shop to pick up the latest Star Wars comics! June 2023’s Star Wars comic solicitations foretell quite the month, from Anakin and Yoda going toe-to-toe with Megadroids (a name as Star Wars as it gets), the excellent Sana Starros miniseries takes its final bow, Aphra’s hanging out with Luke, Vader’s hanging out with….Aphra, and Luke is hanging out with…..a different doctor? The High Republic Show Season Three Premiere: Phase II Reveals and Celebration London Hype

I can’t believe we’re on what’s being called the third season of The High Republic Show! Host Krystina Arielle is hilarious as ever, from the skit with the Yoda statue to her presence in interviews, it’s a blessing she’s still with the team. The first show of the season and the latest for Phase II does a great job catching up fans on what’s all happened so far, and while it has some interior sneak peek for upcoming content, it’s clear they are holding back a bit for the Celebration Europe panel in April. Star Wars Comics May 2023 Solicitations

This year’s Star Wars Month already has a bounty of delights on screen, like Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 and Young Jedi Adventures, and it seems like the comics will bring the party as well. Comic News: Women’s History Month Covers Revealed for March 2023

Fresh off the recent reveal of the stellar Black History Month covers, Marvel has started to unveil March’s Women’s History Month variant covers, provided by artist Peach Momoko! Star Wars Comics April 2023 Solicitations

I wish this was an April Fool’s joke, but April 2023’s Star Wars comics bring another Darth Vader focused comic, but fear not, there’s plenty of other comics goodness to enjoy! Comic News: Black History Month Covers, Darth Vader: Black, White & Red Announced

After two years of special Pride Month covers, Marvel is expanding its selection of celebratory covers and now has ones coming up for Black History Month (and even Women’s History Month later)! Artist Mateus Manhanini goes hard on the incredible covers, which you can glimpse below the cut alongside which comic issue they’ll be releasing with, 10 total to enjoy and collect. Elsewhere, Marvel just can’t let Darth Vader die so they’ve announced a new miniseries with the Black, White & Red moniker, based off a series they do for Marvel comics proper, set to launch this April with the return of Jason Aaron, first interior art by Peach Momoko (!!), and more. Star Wars Comics March 2023 Solicitations

As we look ahead to March 2023 Star Wars comics with the latest solicitations, we look to have an embarrassment of riches. And the month is already packed, from Jedi: Survivor coming out, it’s novel tie-in, The Bad Batch‘s second season on-going, and The Mandalorian‘s third season begins, to name a few things…and now all these comics?!?! There’s the penultimate issue in Qi’ra’s final fight against the Sith, the end of Spark Eternal Saga in the Doctor Aphra series, the start of the Return of the Jedi anniversary one-shots, Han Solo & Chewbacca‘s ending teasing the next big event (which I might not be looking forward to), and so much more! High Republic Show: Year End Entry Reveals Character Encyclopedia, New Covers, and More!

2022 has been a pretty eventful year for The High Republic, even if it only released across 6 of the 12 months. 2022 started with the finale to Phase I that saw Starlight Beacon fallen and story left on a cliffhanger and the year ended with the beginning of Phase II, the 150 years extra blast to the past for extra context to the era’s story. The High Republic Show and the affable Krystina Arielle have been there for us through the big moments and the quiet in-betweens, feeding us many feasts of content and now they have one last holiday gift for us with this year end show! Star Wars Comics February 2023 Solicitations

Since I never celebrated Valentine’s Day outside of like grade school when we all had to, February hasn’t usually had anything big for me to concern myself with, but since it’s my wife’s birthday month, there’s always plenty to do now and love…just like all these Star Wars comics in February 2023’s solicitations! February signals the start of Sana Starros’ long overdue and much anticipated solo series, Qi’ra’s next big move plays out in Hidden Empire, the Battle of Jedha comes to High Republic comics, we’ll get to see Yoda and Dooku working together, Doctor Aphra makes her latest attempt to free herself of the Spark Eternal, and so much more!
