Cold Bounty Collected on The Mandalorian Publishing Program

The Mandalorian Season Two Finale Chapter 16 The Rescue

Looks like Lucasfilm collected the bounty on The Mandalorian’s publishing program the harsh way: cold. Announced back in June 2020, the program promised to dive into the show’s little Grogu-sized pocket of the Star Wars universe, with everything from the usual Ultimate Visual Guide to even an original novel written by Adam Christopher (which had first been delayed to this year), but only the “Art of” book released so far and now the remaining content is shelved. With the exploding success of the show, how often production and stories change, and all the connected TV shows set to come out too, it seems the story of Din Djarin, the Mandalorians and the Darksaber, and Grogu will primarily unfold on our TV screens via Disney+ instead, so no Frog Family books on the horizon, unfortunately. Author Adam Christopher at least has the opportunity for a new novel and we’ll be here, patiently awaiting its reveal. Otherwise, there’s the awesome and only just beginning The High Republic initiative to be excited about with publishing, while The Book of Boba Fett is set to hit our screens at the end of the year with The Mandalorian’s third season sometime in 2022. Novel Review: From a Certain Point of View – The Empire Strikes Back

From a Certain Point of View The Empire Strikes Back Mynock Manor Review

The idea for the original From a Certain Point of View garnered tons of attention for its nearly endless possibilities to reshape such classic films, giving them new life even 40 years after their debut. Thankfully it seems to be a tradition, at least for now since the prequels won’t have the opportunity for another 20 years (and let’s not even talk about how old I’d be when the sequels would hit the milestone…), to take the original trilogy films and retell them from new, interesting, and unexpected points of view, which brings us to From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back. Stronger across the board in its stories, with more consistently engaging tales and original or surprising points of view, and a far more coherent structure from one tale to next, From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back does not fall short of its source material, doing it justice by being such a great and memorable sequel. Novel Review: From a Certain Point of View – Star Wars

Star Wars From a Certain Point of View

Minor Spoiler Review –

There have been short story collections in the Star Wars universe before, but nothing quite like this! From a Certain Point of View gathers together 43 authors for 40 stories giving us new perspectives on Episode IV: A New Hope, as a celebration of the film’s 40th Anniversary (bonus: all the author proceeds go to the charity First Book!). In short, the stories within had me crying, laughing, and filled me up with joyous wonder, much like A New Hope did and continues to do 40 years later, which is a pretty fitting way to celebrate the 40th anniversary, if you ask me!
