Star Wars Adventures Annual 2019

Star Wars Adventures Annual 2019 has two excellent tails in its extra-large issue and both are a damn blast and a half, as one teams Lando up with the bunny smuggler Jaxxon for a rip-roaring adventure, while the others sees Breha Organa teaching Leia about a formidable Queen from the past…Padmé Amidala! Star Wars Comics September 2018 Solicitations

September’s solicitations for Star Wars comics are in and while it sure seems to be an exciting month, from Vader visiting the place of his birth, Aphra finding herself in the crosshairs of multiple old foes, to plenty of “Hope” dying for the heroes of the Rebellion as the Empire starts to strike back, it’s also a sad month for the comics. Two miniseries, the new Lando and The Last Jedi adaptation, come to an end, but the biggest blow is Poe Dameron‘s adventures coming to a close for good. Head on below for a glimpse at what’s ahead and help you mourn the loss of Poe. Continue reading “Star Wars Comics September 2018 Solicitations”

Star Wars Comics July 2018 Solicitations

I haven’t been covering the monthly solicitations for Marvel’s (or IDW’s) upcoming comics, but I’ve decided to start doing so because not only do I look forward to the teases they bring for upcoming stories, but it’s for your convenience of not having to go far to find them if you’re already on the Manor! Seeing as these go out three months, today’s batch of solicitations of Star Wars comics covers issues dropping in July. Head on below to see what’s in store for Doctor AphraPoe DameronDarth Vader – Dark Lord of the Sith, and more! Canon Comic Review: Star Wars Adventures – Forces of Destiny (#1-5)

Star Wars Adventures Forces of Destiny v3
Elsa Charretier Variant Covers

When it was first announced the younger marketed Star Wars Adventures comics from IDW would have a Forces of Destiny tie-in miniseries, a show itself great for the same audience the comic reached, it felt like a match made in Cloud City. Now that all five issues of the female-centric miniseries have released, all written by female creatives, I can honestly say it belongs among the clouds, despite a few minor missteps that won’t really matter to core readers of the event series. Canon Comic Review: IDW’s Star Wars Adventures Vol 1: Heroes of the Galaxy (Issues #1-2)

Star Wars Adventures Vol1 Heroes of the Galaxy

At April’s Celebration Orlando this year, IDW announced they’d be bringing all-ages Star Wars comics to the market place and now we have Star Wars Adventures! The series is as canon as Marvel’s comics are and set to contain, you guessed it, adventures across time and space of the Star Wars galaxy. Volume 1: Heroes of the Galaxy is made up of a two-part main tale about Rey during her days on Jakku and some “Tales from Wild Space” featuring Obi-Wan and Evaan Veraline, and already it’s clear SW Adventures is a product anyone can find joy in.
