Thrawn – Treason is the final book of Timothy Zahn’s canon Thrawn Trilogy and another entry sandwiched between episodes of Star Wars Rebels, asking us once again to ignore the destination and enjoy the journey. Unfortunately, Treason doesn’t give readers the opportunity to ignore the destination anymore, aka the finale to Rebels, as the journey feels like treason against us readers. Those waiting for Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker news will have to wait a little longer, as the publishing/comic panels were rather light on the announcements this year. Marvel officially revealed the new creative team for the Star Wars mainline comic series, IDW revealed the Return to Vader’s Castle miniseries, while a mystery project, Luminous, was teased involving 5 big name writers. There already some great novels coming in 2019, like Master & Apprentice and Queen’s Shadow, but add another to the must-read list as Timothy Zahn returns with Thrawn – Treason, the third book in his Thrawn series. Also announced is a new comic miniseries, Vader – Dark Visions, an intriguing sounding series but it’s announcement raises some questions and concerns, especially if it’s a replacement for the now cancelled Vader mini, Shadow of Vader.
