Video Game News: Zero Company Releases August 27, New Galactic Racer Trailer

It feels like we’ve had so little in the way of Star Wars video games, it’s almost shocking and overwhelming we’ll have two giant releases out within just over a month of each other later this year! At Summer Games Fest, the replacement for the old E3 gaming event, we got brand new looks at Galactic Racer, which we just got release date/pre-order information and a trailer for not too long ago, and finally another, deeper look at Zero Company, including its newly announced August 27 release date! You can see Zero Company‘s new trailer above, but head below for new details about it and Galactic Racer, plus the racing game’s new trailer, as well as a hint one long ago announced game is still on the way. Get your wallets ready!

Star Wars Comics August 2026 Solicitations

August is when it’s the hottest before the fall for us in Wisconsin, so I’d have appreciated a few more comics to nestle inside with the A/C on, but Marvel only has three and Dark Horse at this point is skipping. 2026 really is shaping up to be the weirdest year for comics yet, but at least August sees our first non-tie-in release in a while from Marvel, with The Fall of Kylo Ren. Head below for August 2026’s Star Wars Comics Solicitations!

Comic News: Miniseries The Fall of Kylo Ren Begins August 2026

First there was the Rise, next the Legacy, and now…the Fall! It feels pretty appropriate, and not just due to the way Legacy of Vader ended, writer Charles Soule’s next entry in Kylo Ren’s journey would be titled The Fall of Kylo Ren (love the video graphic). The new 5-issue miniseries, which is probably going to be more the norm from Marvel these days, kicks off in August and will pick up where Legacy left off and take us right into The Rise of Skywalker! A look at the first covers, additional details, and some thoughts below the cut, but know we’ll be sat and reading! Continue reading “Comic News: Miniseries The Fall of Kylo Ren Begins August 2026”

TV News: Ahsoka Season 2 Heads to 2027

There was no certainty Ahsoka‘s second season would drop in 2026, but with all the goodies in 2027, it seemed like the smartest idea. Yet maybe to give the bigger, bolder sophomore run more time to shine its head-tails, it’s joining the early 2027 crowd. That’s right, we not only get A New Hope rereleased in some ‘original‘ form on February 19, 2027, Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles 2027 from April 1-4, 2027, and the Ryan Gosling led Starfighter on May 28, 2027, but Ahsoka Season 2 now as well. I’m imagining it’ll premiere at Celebration and be done a week or two before Starfighter.

Either way, this was announced at the Disney Upfronts and attendees got to see some early footage which the official site said showcased an, “…action packed second season, with a glimpse at epic space battles and thrilling lightsaber combat,” though no one’s broken embargo and leaked more of what they saw in more detail (at least that I could find). Also tucked in the announcement, alongside the expected cast returning, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, while not too surprising given his Force Ghost appearance in the season finale (and World Between Worlds shenanigans prior), was confirmed as well.

Good luck to all our wallets and time in 2027!

Comic News: 2026’s Pride Month Connecting Variants!

With a dearth of comic releases because Marvel’s gone hardline on their sales quotas, the cultural variant covers lines have had some of their smallest years ever. With so little issues to grace the line with, we get connecting variants to help push the collecting, but that’s never a worry with me, as I want to make sure and support the initiative so they keep doing it. Still, it was a shame to see only three for Black History Month, a dismal one for Women’s History Month, and at least another three for Pride Month 2026. Artist Rickie Yagawa, with colorist Tamra Bonvillain, make it a memorable three at least, with a few new faces and an overall snazzy look. But there’s a big gripe, worse than in previous years, but we’ll discuss that, as well as show off the big connective image, below! Continue reading “Comic News: 2026’s Pride Month Connecting Variants!”

Video Game News: Galactic Racer Releasing October 6, Fornite Star Wars Expansions, And More!

Ahead of 2026’s May the Fourth celebrations, we got some great news: the confirmation of Galactic Racer‘s October 6 release date! Only three days before my birthday?! The little 9 year old Episode 1: Racer fan can’t believe we’re so back!! Alongside the release date, Galactic Racer received a new gameplay-centric trailer, including plenty of podracing action, as well as details regarding what pre-order bonuses come with what special edition. The Collector’s Edition, physical only, comes with a landspeeder model?! Oh no, sorry wallet. Beyond news about Galactic Racer, Fortnite revealed new Star Wars modes coming May 1, like Galactic Siege (which is giving me Battlefront vibes), Escape Vader, and Droid Tycoon, with more special features on the way. Head below to read more about Galactic Racer‘s editions, Fornite‘s Star Wars stuff, a new Star Wars Monopoly, and more! Star Wars Comics July 2026 Solicitations

To think, we’re out to July for Star Wars comics in 2026 and it’s only tie-ins from Marvel we’ve known about for a while and thankfully (as long as it’s not delayed) more High Republic from Dark Horse. But it still remains some of the sparsest releases in the past decade, but at least there are still comics being released? Or something silver-lining-ish to make that sound good? Head below for Star Wars comics’ July 2026 solicitations now.

Final The Mandalorian and Grogu Trailer Promises More Action, First 18 Minutes Previewed

While the final trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu contains a lot of the same footage we’ve seen, or at least similar scenes from different points, it’s still better than the initial teaser. It’s promising a rollicking good time at the theaters, with the same vague hints at the Mandalorian’s new groove in helping out the New Republic hunt down some Imperial Remnant warlords. While I’m still excited for the film, I don’t imagine this trailer will change anyone’s minds, and that’s okay. But it did give me pause. A realization that, outside of the 90/00’s Legends love for the New Republic era, we’ve not really had much time with the organization, and I feel like getting more stories with it could’ve helped make this feel more important, for the lack of a better term. Yet maybe that’s what The Mandalorian and Grogu is set to do, give us our first big taste of the much larger post-Return of the Jedi story Lucasfilm has planned, something Director Jon Favreau teased in his chat with Adam Savage’s Tested set visit. Ahsoka season 2 is likely later this year still…

Plenty of press, influencers, and fellow Star Wars fan sites and podcasts got to visit the set as well, and look no further than Star Wars Explained’s deep-dive to see all the goodies, which includes a TON of film and TV show props (Kh’ymm from Skeleton Crew!!) that are usually a must-see at Star Wars Celebration. Also, those same people saw the first 18 minutes or so, which sounds like it’s basically the AT-ATs in the snow sequence and some of the Colonel Ward talking to Din Djarin and Grogu that we’ve seen in the trailers. The Mandalorian and Grogu is almost a month away, with tickets now live to buy, novelty popcorn buckets to decide on, and even the promise of the soundtrack releasing early (what’s the “Qui-Gon’s Noble End” track listing going to be? “Din Djarin Dims”?), while our review should be out shortly after May 21!
