Originally scheduled to air during the upcoming Agents of SHIELD episode, someone decided to leak the trailer yesterday night. Marvel wasn’t going to let us suffer from watching it in low-quality for long, unveiling the HD official trailer not moments after the leak. It’s a pretty stunning piece of work; while I was already anticipating this film, the trailer just made the wait for its release even harder. And in a rather staggering bit of numbers, there’s over 19 million views (as of this writing) and Age of Ultron‘s trailer has only been online for 24 hours or so. Any bets Avengers 2 will beat out the first in box office totals? Continue reading “Avengers: Age of Ultron Teaser Trailer Online”

DC’s Cinematic Universe Announced
Call it the DCU for short: Warner Bros. has announced 10 DC property superhero flicks to hit theaters over the next 6 years, including a Wonder Woman movie (!) and a two-parter Justice League, plus more Lego films and the Harry Potter spin-off will be a trilogy. The focus here will be on the ambitious DCU slate starting with 2016’s Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.
New Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 Trailer Drops
The first full trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 dropped early Monday morning. If you haven’t seen the previous films, this trailer will certainly give you a good reason to reconsider that mistake. This is the only book I haven’t read of the Hunger Games series, so while I wish I could sneak a hint in as to where this will all go, I’ll leave it up to the rest of the internet to do so for me. Expect to see Jennifer Lawrence show Hollywood why leading women can rock the box office on November 17th.
New Terminator Trilogy Dates Set
It seems Arnold is never kidding: he will be back, and with him a new Terminator trilogy. Shortly after announcing the oddly spelled Genisys as the title for the first new Terminator film, Warner Bros. has dates planned out for the sequels. Genisys relaunches the franchise on July 1st, 2015, with the other two on May 19, 2017 and June 29, 2018. Continue reading “New Terminator Trilogy Dates Set”

Wednesday Overload: J.J. Trolls, Standalone Director, Rebels Clips, Insider Canon
Mynock Manor went live just in time it seems! After Monday’s splendid casting announcement, I thought we might be getting a bit of a break. Today proved that wrong when we not only had J.J. respond to all the TMZ set photos leaks of Ep. VII, but also another standalone Star Wars film received a director, two new Rebels clips hit the internet, and SW Insider revealed their (already out) contributions to new canon. Phew, say that five times fast while juggling Jawas atop a krayt dragon.

Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie Join Ep. VII Cast!
Great news, everyone! Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o and Game of Thrones’ Brienne Gwendoline Christie join the cast of Episode VII. Both are talented actresses and I know I’m not the only one excited for them to be in the new movie. While their inclusion helps but doesn’t completely dispel the gender disparity issues which came with the original cast announcement (something people were rightly incensed about), this is definitely a step in the right direction. And, if you aren’t following the reactions on Twitter today, fans are universally happy with Nyong’o’s and Christie’s casting. Continue reading “Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie Join Ep. VII Cast!”
