I can’t believe we’re on what’s being called the third season of The High Republic Show! Host Krystina Arielle is hilarious as ever, from the skit with the Yoda statue to her presence in interviews, it’s a blessing she’s still with the team. The first show of the season and the latest for Phase II does a great job catching up fans on what’s all happened so far, and while it has some interior sneak peek for upcoming content, it’s clear they are holding back a bit for the Celebration Europe panel in April. High Republic Anthology Titled Tales of Light and Life, Celebration London Panel Revealed
The High Republic’s Phase II: Quest for the Jedi is barreling towards it end in May, leavings fans to wait for Phase III to start in November, though thankfully there’ll be content to tide everyone over, like the much-anticipated YA Anthology featuring all the initiative’s authors! Young Jedi Adventures Premieres May 4, Books Announced {UPDATED}
As a big fan of the initiative, it’s been awesome to see The High Republic grow beyond its publishing beginnings. I’ve had the chance to enjoy the VR related games out there and am eagerly awaiting The Acolyte’s premiere, though on May 4 (April 26 for the shorts) here’s more High Republic-era set content on its way: Young Jedi Adventures! Novel News: Qi’ra Stars in Crimson Climb, Out October 10
Qi’ra entered legendary status thanks to Emilia Clarke’s performance of the character in Solo: A Star Wars Story and fans have been clamoring for more of her and her story ever since. In 2020, she shocked fans by returning in a big comics crossover and continues to dominate the storyline as she attempts to take on the Sith ruling the galaxy, in full control of Crimson Dawn. While an excellent book has already glimpsed her life prior to the start of the film, E.K. Johnston will be looking into the period after Han Solo left Corellia, and Qi’ra’, behind in the upcoming novel Crimson Climb! Star Wars: Vision Volume 2 Releases May 4, Studios Announced!
Embracing May the Fourth once again, Lucasfilm promises quite the treat for 2023: Star Wars: Visions Volume 2!! After the first batch was such a big hit, it made sense to return to the idea and explore new studios as well. I had some hopes we’d see some returning studios to deliver follow-ups to their memorable and unique stories, but from the list of studios involved, I’m sure we’ll have new favorites once the next Visions Volume drops! Comic News: Women’s History Month Covers Revealed for March 2023
Fresh off the recent reveal of the stellar Black History Month covers, Marvel has started to unveil March’s Women’s History Month variant covers, provided by artist Peach Momoko! While it’s only 4 of the total 11 covers to collect, these first batch are a stunning group, making the remaining list of characters a much anticipated reveal! The Mandalorian Season Three Final Trailer Blasts Off
The next season of Din and Grogu adventures is nearly upon us and The Mandalorian’s season three official trailer promises both a bigger galaxy and the continued focus on the growing father/son dynamic of the unlikely duo. The outsized focus on those two doesn’t mean we get some glimpses of new places or storylines, as a Carson Teva sighting comes with ominous warnings, more Grogu Order 66 flashbacks to come, and B1 battle droids chilling…at a droid bar?! Comic News: Black History Month Covers, Darth Vader: Black, White & Red Announced
After two years of special Pride Month covers, Marvel is expanding its selection of celebratory covers and now has ones coming up for Black History Month (and even Women’s History Month later)! Artist Mateus Manhanini goes hard on the incredible covers, which you can glimpse below the cut alongside which comic issue they’ll be releasing with, 10 total to enjoy and collect.
