Star Wars Comics June 2026 Solicitations

It’s the first year since 2019 that we’ll officially be in a post-Star Wars movie release situation, while also the animated show Maul: Shadow Lord will be over too. It’s up to publishing to fill in the gaps and June 2026’s Star Wars comic solicitations are trying their best to be up to the task, though they are less abundant and varied than the past few years. Head below for details on more High Republic fun from Dark Horse, more Maul from Marvel, and some Galaxy’s Edge and Rogue One tie-ins to boot. Also, first hints on Marvel’s Pride Month variants!!

Final Maul: Shadow Lord Trailer Showcases Horned Horror, Revenge

The final trailer for Maul: Shadow Lord unleashed loads more footage, playing up the horror angle of a what Maul unchained and out for revenge looks like. In short, the spooky shot of his horned shadow engulfing the Padawan Devon Izara (Gideon Adlon) is living rent free in my brain, right next to the edit of John Williams’ iconic “Duel of the Fates”. Otherwise in the new trailer, we get to hear a lot more from Wagner Moura’s Captain Brander Lawson, who just premiered in the first issue of the tie-in comic miniseries, Shadow of Maul, while Izara’s doubts about the future of the Jedi Order, to the point she might be willing to team up with Maul, come to forefront and make her upcoming journey one we can’t wait to watch. Maul: Shadow Lord‘s two-episode premiere is almost here, April 6, and Lucasfilm was kind enough to also unveil the episode titles and a final poster, both of which you can see below. Otherwise, head back to the Manor after April 6 as we deliver our reviews of what the trailer is calling the buzzy “Age of Maul.” Continue reading “Final Maul: Shadow Lord Trailer Showcases Horned Horror, Revenge”

Novel News: Star Pilots Announced, Second Reign of the Empire Novel Gets Cover, Synopsis, Release Date Revealed

At SDCC ’25, we learned the remaining titles and a slight delay in releases for the remaining Reign of the Empire Trilogy novels, and now we get our first glimpse at details surrounding the second entry, Edge of the Abyss, by Rebecca Roanhorse. io9 had the exclusive cover and blurb reveal, which isn’t shy about highlighting it will be set only a year prior to the start of Andor, while we get plenty of familiar faces on the cover and names in the blurb, like a meet-up fans have been curious to see happen and the good news myself and many others won’t be shutting up about having more of Kleya Marki, among others! Also, historian and author Chris Kempshall announced his return for more in-universe historical fiction on his big appearance with Star Wars Explained, revealing October’s Star Wars: Star Pilots, which will put Wedge Antilles in the cockpit for tales from the Galactic Civil War aka the Original Trilogy! Head below for a look at Reign of the Empire: Edge of the Abyss‘ gorgeous new cover by Marko Manev, its blurb, and more about Star Pilots!! Star Wars Comics May 2026 Solicitations

While May might be the busiest comics month in all of 2026 so far, it’s also a big month for Star Wars in general, as the animated show Maul: Shadow Lord wraps up and The Mandalorian and Grogu wallops theaters! So in-between those two big screen events, comics have will have something to enjoy, from the beginning of the Rogue One 10th Anniversary one-shots, more Shadow Lord prequel story, a Bad Batch finale (maybe!), High Republic hijinks (hopefully!), and Galaxy’s Edge connections. It just hit me, only one of the five comics out in May isn’t a tie-in to a show/film/theme park…always thankful for the High Republic! Head below for May 2026’s Star Wars comics solicitations now!

Comic News: Rogue One 10th Anniversary Comics, Marvel’s Sole 2026 Women’s History Month Variant Unveiled

It doesn’t seem possible that we’re already at the 10th Anniversary of Rogue One‘s release, but maybe it’s because we just finished Andor last year? Or I don’t want to admit the passage of time? Either way, Marvel isn’t letting us forget it’s time to celebrate, as they have put together a series of one-shots focusing on key characters, like Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, and even Chirrut & Baze, which kicks off this May! In other Marvel news, we have our first glimpse at the one and only Women’s History Month variant cover for 2026, done by a new to Star Wars artist, Elena Casagrande! Coincidence the upcoming Rogue One comics only has one marginalized creative? Yes, but not a surprise when it comes to comics. Anyways, head below for the first details on all 5 Rogue One issues, several covers for it, and the preliminary Women’s History Month cover! The Mandalorian and Grogu Trailer Teases Plot, Thrills, Pedro’s Face

First there was the pseudo-beer commercial at the Super Bowl. Then there was all the merchandising reveals. And now, our first big trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu! The first teaser didn’t quite land for me, but it also hit at a bitter time given Disney’s choices with Jimmy Kimmel. Yet this new trailer is ticking all the right boxes by teasing some of the film’s plot, lots of fun action and weird creatures, and a helluva lot more of Pedro Pascal’s face, to the point I’m damn glad I didn’t make bets with some friends over how much we’d see him with his helmet off. Let’s discuss it a little more below, but just know, I was going to be sat ANYWAYS for The Mandalorian and Grogu on May 22, this just helped make that trip all the more exciting. Video Game News: Galactic Racer Gameplay Trailer Debuts, Teases Podracing

Honestly, the more we see of Galactic Racer, I need it injected straight into me veins! Star Wars hasn’t had a great racing game in quite some time and I can only replay Episode 1: Racer so many times, so I’m really hoping how fun and engaging Galactic Racer looks in these trailers translates into when we get to play it. Given Fuse Games’ workers backgrounds, it certainly seems like we’ll be in store for quite the ride when this drops sometime in 2026 (was hoping for a date reveal, but maybe with next trailer). The kinetic feel of the races, the gorgeous details and landscapes, and the destructive system are itching all the right spots, so hopefully that release date comes sooner than later. The new gameplay trailer ends with the briefest tease of podracing in action, showing Sebulba chasing down poor Ben Quadinaros (sorry, not the Ben everyone was hoping would come back, but this one has his fans too!), and I might just be finally okay with putting Episode 1: Racer down. Head below for two screengrabs of Sebulba’s return and a new poster! Continue reading “Video Game News: Galactic Racer Gameplay Trailer Debuts, Teases Podracing”

Comic News: New All-Ages OGN Line from Mad Cave Studios

Via their Papercutz imprint line, they’ll be bringing all-ages/middle-grade Original Graphic Novels, starting off with stories by Cavan Scott and Greg Pak, later this fall. Head below for more details! Continue reading “Comic News: New All-Ages OGN Line from Mad Cave Studios”

Star Wars Comics April 2026 Solicitations

April 2026 is all about the tie-ins, hey? And weirdly enough, none of them have to do with The Mandalorian and Grogu, the first Star Wars film since 2019, out in May. Well, there are variant covers referencing the film, at least? As for what there is to tie into, the prequel comic for Maul: Shadow Lord gets its second issue (days after the show premieres), Galaxy’s Edge‘s timeline change gets a new comic, and The Bad Batch‘s newest prequel comic slides a previous issue into this month. But have no fear, The High Republic is here as well! So head below to see April 2026’s Star Wars comics solicitations! Continue reading “Star Wars Comics April 2026 Solicitations”
