This is the first December without a Star Wars movie release since 2015, so when Star Wars Resistance takes an inevitable winter break, what better to snuggle down with than some new comics!? Not only will December be home to the finale of the Darth Vader series’ epic “Fortress Vader” arc and some exciting new misadventures for Doctor Aphra, it also contains the beginning of the Age of Star Wars maxi-series, which starts with the prequel era in the Age of Republic. Meet Star Wars Resistance’s Team Aces
Our next Star Wars Resistance video introduces Team Aces (originally revealed via USAToday), the elite pilots of the show’s Colossus station setting, who were hired to protect it but also get into a bit of fun with the races held there. The video seems to imply they end up helping the Resistance, but since show star Kazuda Xiono is sent to uncover a First Order spy, will it be someone from the Aces or Fireball? We won’t know until after the show premieres October 7, but in the meantime head below for more details on these elite pilots, the red First Order pilot’s name, and a fun little mystery from the video above. Meet Team Fireball Video and Posters Released for Star Wars Resistance
The premiere of Star Wars Resistance sneaks ever closer, so new details are slowly trickling in about the characters and setting of the upcoming animated show. The video above not only introduces us to Team Fireball, which comprises of Kazuda “Kaz” Xiono (Christopher Sean), Tam Ryvora (Suzie McGrath), Jarek Yeager (Scott Lawrence), Neeku Vozo (Josh Brener), and the patched together droid Bucket, but it also features plenty of new footage from the show plus interviews with cast and crew. Once you’re done watching the video, I’m sure you’ll agree with me that Neeku might already be the breakout character of the show thanks to his hilarious idiosyncrasies. Star Wars Comics November 2018 Solicitations
Star Wars comics in November of 2018 have received their solicitations, so come along and peer into the comic’s future! November will see the release of a brand new miniseries, Han Solo – Imperial Cadet, which covers his time as, you guessed it, an Imperial Cadet, while both the Star Wars and Doctor Aphra series begin new arcs, with SW finally getting a new artist (!) and Aphra making it past the benchmark 25th issue. UPDATE: IDW’s solicitations have come in and one of their issues in November will tie-in to Star Wars Resistance, the new animated show! All that and more, below! Already I’m liking the hot-shot pilot, high-octane, action-adventure vibe, and while the animation style isn’t something I’m used to, I don’t mind it one bit.
