Comic News: Rogue One 10th Anniversary Comics, Marvel’s Sole 2026 Women’s History Month Variant Unveiled

It doesn’t seem possible that we’re already at the 10th Anniversary of Rogue One‘s release, but maybe it’s because we just finished Andor last year? Or I don’t want to admit the passage of time? Either way, Marvel isn’t letting us forget it’s time to celebrate, as they have put together a series of one-shots focusing on key characters, like Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, and even Chirrut & Baze, which kicks off this May! In other Marvel news, we have our first glimpse at the one and only Women’s History Month variant cover for 2026, done by a new to Star Wars artist, Elena Casagrande! Coincidence the upcoming Rogue One comics only has one marginalized creative? Yes, but not a surprise when it comes to comics. Andor Season Two Review: “Episode 4 – Ever Been to Ghorman?” & “Episode 5 – I Have Friends Everywhere” & “Episode 6 – What a Festive Evening”

Andor’s season two is back for another week and another block of three episodes, picking up one year later from the season two openers. Much of the ground laid by the premiere episodes begins to bloom, but more seeds must be planted first, as “Episode 4 – Ever Been to Ghorman?” & “Episode 5 – I Have Friends Everywhere” & “Episode 6 – What a Festive Evening” do more heavy lifting with the introduction to the planet and people of Ghorman, addressing various threads about the fallout of the shattered peace of Mina-Rau, and the widening scope of the rebellion. While some of the drawbacks of the season’s structure appear, with a particular trope rearing its ugly head, this next batch of episodes are still an excellent continuation. Andor Season Two Premiere Review: “Episode 1 – One Year Later” & “Episode 2 – Sagrona Teema” & “Episode 3 – Harvest”

The nearly three-year wait is over and Andor, the first season of which was a critical darling and has only grown in admiration since, is back for its second and final season. Releasing in three-episode blocks per week, Andor’s second season premiere feels like a mini-movie, one of four we’ll get, picking up one year later and not missing a beat, bringing what feels both like a new tone and yet an evolution of what came before. All together, “Episode 1 – One Year Later” & “Episode 2 – Sagrona Teema” & “Episode 3 – Harvest” are a mesmerizing, intriguing, emotional start, and if the rest of the season will be much the same, I’m not sure I’ll be ready but I cannot wait! The second day of Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 started with a focus on Star Wars’ TV future, one release more imminent than the other. Andor took the starting morning slot, hyping up a show I don’t think many fans need much hype for at this point (but the general public might), while the first details on Ahsoka’s second season, like Anakin Skywalker’s return, Rory McCann’s casting as Baylan Skoll, a panel-only teaser, and more took up the eponymous character’s panel. Lucasfilm Publishing and Manga Panels Reveal High Republic Finale, Adaptations, And More! (SWCJ 2025)

Given Star Wars Celebration is in Japan this year, I appreciate they not only had the traditional Lucasfilm Publishing Panel, which teased new information about the upcoming finale of The High Republic, revealed covers and characters coming to the comics, a full series Andor artbook, and more, but there was a Manga Mania panel celebrating the form, which included several announcements! Andor Season Two Trailer Revolutionizes

While your mileage may vary with the choice of song—I for one am really looking forward to more of Nicholas Britell’s riveting score—there’s no denying the striking and thrilling imagery in Andor‘s season two trailer! Given the excellence Andor climbed in season one, I don’t think we were expecting anything less! I particularly enjoyed Cassian swooping down after the missile strike, seeing Bix Caleen more involved, Krennic’s return, and whatever colorful rave Mon Mothma was in, to name a few of the intriguing glimpses of the show’s return. Set for April 22 (just after Celebration Japan 2025, where I’m sure they’ll show it early), Andor season two will release across four weeks of three episode chunks, as technically the show jumps a year after each set of three episodes, so it sort of makes sense to make them one big movie-like experience. I’d still have loved for it to be weekly, but it’s more Andor, so how can I complain?! I’ll be reviewing them in the three episode chunks once Andor hits our Disney+ using devices in April!

D23 2024: Skeleton Crew Trailer, Andor Season Two Details, and More!

D23 hasn’t always been the place to go for Lucasfilm announcements or reveals, and it still was pretty subdued this year too (not even an The Acolyte season two announcement?!), but we did get our first public Skeleton Crew trailer, while panel-goers where treated to a sizzle reel for Andor season two and some brief shots from The Mandalorian and Grogu film. As far as opening panels go, it’s really hard to think of the best place to start, because Celebration Europe 2023’s Lucasfilm Studio Showcase Panel was PACKED with news, reveals, and more.
