It feels like we’ve had so little in the way of Star Wars video games, it’s almost shocking and overwhelming we’ll have two giant releases out within just over a month of each other later this year! At Summer Games Fest, the replacement for the old E3 gaming event, we got brand new looks at Galactic Racer, which we just got release date/pre-order information and a trailer for not too long ago, and finally another, deeper look at Zero Company, including its newly announced August 27 release date! You can see Zero Company‘s new trailer above, but head below for new details about it and Galactic Racer, plus the racing game’s new trailer, as well as a hint one long ago announced game is still on the way. Video Game News: Galactic Racer Releasing October 6, Fornite Star Wars Expansions, And More!

Ahead of 2026’s May the Fourth celebrations, we got some great news: the confirmation of Galactic Racer‘s October 6 release date! Only three days before my birthday?! The little 9 year old Episode 1: Racer fan can’t believe we’re so back!! Alongside the release date, Galactic Racer received a new gameplay-centric trailer, including plenty of podracing action, as well as details regarding what pre-order bonuses come with what special edition. The Collector’s Edition, physical only, comes with a landspeeder model?! Oh no, sorry wallet. Beyond news about Galactic Racer, Fortnite revealed new Star Wars modes coming May 1, like Galactic Siege (which is giving me Battlefront vibes), Escape Vader, and Droid Tycoon, with more special features on the way. Head below to read more about Galactic Racer‘s editions, Fornite‘s Star Wars stuff, a new Star Wars Monopoly, and more! Video Game News: Galactic Racer Gameplay Trailer Debuts, Teases Podracing

Honestly, the more we see of Galactic Racer, I need it injected straight into me veins! Star Wars hasn’t had a great racing game in quite some time and I can only replay Episode 1: Racer so many times, so I’m really hoping how fun and engaging Galactic Racer looks in these trailers translates into when we get to play it. Given Fuse Games’ workers backgrounds, it certainly seems like we’ll be in store for quite the ride when this drops sometime in 2026 (was hoping for a date reveal, but maybe with next trailer). The kinetic feel of the races, the gorgeous details and landscapes, and the destructive system are itching all the right spots, so hopefully that release date comes sooner than later. The new gameplay trailer ends with the briefest tease of podracing in action, showing Sebulba chasing down poor Ben Quadinaros (sorry, not the Ben everyone was hoping would come back, but this one has his fans too!), and I might just be finally okay with putting Episode 1: Racer down. Head below for two screengrabs of Sebulba’s return and a new poster! Continue reading “Video Game News: Galactic Racer Gameplay Trailer Debuts, Teases Podracing”

With its large cast of underworld characters, the video game Star Wars Outlaws was begging to be explored further. Thankfully, publishing felt the same way and our first tie-in for the game was devised. Author Mike Chen returns with Star Wars Outlaws: Low Red Moon, a prequel to the game which dives into the pasts of both Jaylen Vrax and hot droid extraordinaire, ND-5! With a phenomenal droid point-of-view, interesting expansion to the characters and underworld, and a well-paced adventurous vibe, this a book even fans who haven’t played Outlaws will find plenty to enjoy. Book Review: The Art of Star Wars: Outlaws

From its announcement to the countless hours I’ve played it, Star Wars Outlaws has captured my imagination quite a bit, and learning more about the creative process behind its inception has been next on my list. Thankfully Dark Horse has just the thing with The Art of Star Wars: Outlaws (out August 19), a hefty and in-depth release which provides insights from different parts of the development team with tons of never-before-seen concept art and visualizations, from the variations for different syndicate outfits to early Nix ideas, and any fan should consider this a must-have. Video Game Review: Star Wars Outlaws DLC “Wild Card” & “A Pirate’s Fortune”

– Spoiler Review –

It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a full year since Star Wars Outlaws first launched, which lived up to my expectations even in its earlier versions as I spoke about in my review last November. Since my review, not only have there been numerous quality-of-life improvements to the game based on fan-feedback, but the two promised story DLCs released as well, “Wild Card” & “A Pirate’s Fortune,” offering fans even more content to return to Kay Vess’ story navigating the underworld. I’ll be reviewing the two DLCs, where I found pluses and minuses for both, as well as touching on the QOL improvements, below!
