Comic News: Women’s History Month Covers Revealed for March 2023

Womens History Month Covers Revealed Star Wars Comics

Fresh off the recent reveal of the stellar Black History Month covers, Marvel has started to unveil March’s Women’s History Month variant covers, provided by artist Peach Momoko! While it’s only 4 of the total 11 covers to collect, these first batch are a stunning group, making the remaining list of characters a much anticipated reveal! We’ll update this article as more are revealed, like we did with the BHM article, so head below for the covers and who else will be gracing Momoko’s work.

Peach Momoko has stunned before with variant covers, so it’s no surprise she’s already off to a great start with these first four, but thankfully it won’t just be covers Star Wars fans have to look forward to come the artist: she’s providing interior art and writing duties to the upcoming Darth Vader: Black, Red & White miniseries! So don’t miss out on more work from her this year after enjoying these Women’s History Month covers.

The first four covers feature: Amilyn Holdo, who delighted in both Leia: Princess of Alderaan and The Last Jedi (and has been starring in the current Star Wars run); Khel Tanna, a scoundrel coming at odds with Han Solo over an urn of unique importance to Jabba the Hutt in the Han Solo & Chewbacca comic; Chanath Cha, a bounty hunter whose worked directly for Emperor Palpatine after her parents put themselves in Darth Vader’s sights but now fights alongside Qi’ra against the Sith; and of course Princess Leia, who needs no introduction! Here’s the remaining characters to be featured:

Barash, a Jedi like her “brother” Porter Engle, whose story is unfolding in The High Republic – The Blade miniseries; Domina Tagge, the ruthless and cunning head of the Tagge Corporation who has appeared mainly in the Doctor Aphra series; Gheyr, a brand new Jedi being introduced in the upcoming Yoda #4; Grammy Starros, the matriarch of the Starros clan as seen in February 1’s Sana Starros #1, a comic I’m highly anticipating; Matty aka Jedi Matthea Cathley, who is both chatty yet resourceful, appearing in The High Republic – Phase II; Nakano Lash, once a leader of a group of bounty hunters as seen in, you guessed it, Bounty Hunters; and Sabé, the resurfaced handmaiden whose soul and the battle for it are of much drama in the Darth Vader (Vol. 3) series.

Remember to return, as we’ll update this as more come in!
