Star Wars Comics December 2025 Solicitations

Hopefully by December 2025 we’ll still have free speech and not be totally overrun by the fascists, but I can confirm we’ll have more intriguing Star Wars Comics to look forward to…that’s nice, at least? So come on down for our look at the last solicitations for 2025, where we can expect everything from Kylo Ren putting on Darth Vader’s helmet, the Jedi Knights series concludes its big story about Qui-Gon Jinn’s would-be assassin, the Bad Batch comes back for more comic trouble, Alyssa Wong returns to finish off Boba Fett’s new miniseries, and more in December 2025’s Star Wars comic solicitations! What’s not below however is any new Doctor Aphra: Chaos Agent solicits, but we’ll discuss that as well.

As I mentioned on Bluesky, while I wasn’t concerned in November about the lack of solicitation for a new issue of Doctor Aphra: Chaos Agent, especially given how we know now Marvel seems to decide how much longer a series lasts after the sales of its fifth issue (and that’s not even out yet), but TWO months and no new solicit is concerning though hasn’t pushed me over the edge. There are rumors it could be due to switching to a new colorist, for whatever reason, or maybe writer Cherish Chen wanted a break since she had the joy of bringing a new child into the world, so hence why I’m not totally worried yet. Plus, three weeks from this publishing, New York Comic Con 2025 is here and there’s a Lucasfilm Publishing Panel, which is usually packed with updates on books and comics, so I imagine we’re going to learn more there and I’m not going to give it much thought until then. Anyways…onto December 2025’s solicitations!

MARVEL

Legacy of Vader #11 (on sale 12/3)

Charles Soule (Writer), Luke Ross (Artist)
Cover by Derrick Chew | Plo Koon & Mace Windu Jedi Knights Variant Cover by Bengal | Variant Cover by Rod Reis

KYLO REN IN THE PITS OF MUSTAFAR!

  • As VANEE’S unhinged plans come together, KYLO REN is put to the ultimate test!
  • The legacy of VADER comes full circle in physical form as Kylo is forced to don his grandfather’s helmet!
  • Can Kylo survive the deadly depths of VADER’S CASTLE?

Kylo’s facing what should be a fun test in Tava Ren currently in the series, but I’m glad to know we’ll get into some of the wild and weird of Vader’s Castle soon! Writer Charles Soule really took his previous Vader series in big directions in its final arc about the Castle being built so I imagine, given Kylo’s being forced into the signature helmet, we’re getting something wild either way.

Han Solo: Hunt for the Falcon #4 (on sale 12/10)

Rodney Barnes (Writer), Ramon Rosanas (Artist)
Cover by Ramon Rosanas | Variant Cover by E.M. Gist | Variant Cover by Paulo Siqueira

JAILBREAK!

  • HAN and CHEWIE make a break from the prison of junk dealer UNKAR PLUTT!
  • But they’ll need to get past the VORILL SERPENTS if they want to live to see another day!
  • All the while, Han’s life with LEIA, BEN, CHEWIE and LANDO hangs in the balance!

As I wrote in my review of the miniseries’ opening issue, I hope Hunt for the Falcon can balance in touches of Han’s life during this era, given his fate coming up shortly after this series’ story ends, and this solicit seems to promise it’ll could be top of mind throughout. I won’t be back to review this series until its finale in Janaury (barring any delays), but check us out on Bluesky as I’ll be sharing some thoughts each month until then!

Jedi Knights #10 (on sale 12/17)

Marc Guggenheim (Writer), Madibek Musabekov (Artist/Cover Artist)
Classic Homage Variant Cover by Dan Jurgens | Lightsaber Variant/Virgin Variant Cover by Taurin Clarke

THE SAGA OF CORLIS RATH CONCLUDES!

  • QUI-GON must finally confront CORLIS RATH — and his memories!
  • What secret lies in Qui-Gon’s hidden past?
  • And will OBI-WAN be able to help his master when it matters most?
  • The great mystery of the fan-favorite series revealed at last!

Not only will this tenth issue be the conclusion of the series’ connective story, but it’s also artist Madibek Musabekov’s final bow (as he revealed on his Instagram)! It’s not just the fun, snappy scripts that have made this a favorite, it’s also Musabekov’s dynamic and exciting art that makes it such a memorable experience, so he’ll be missed as the series marches on (most likely), which I’m sure we’ll learn about at NYCC in October. Either way, I’m ready to see how writer Marc Guggenheim brings the story of Corlis Rath and Qui-Gon Jinn home!

Star Wars #8 {2025} (on sale 12/24)

Alex Segura (Writer), Phil Noto (Artist)
Cover by Phil Noto | Variant Cover by Nogi San | Luke Skywalker & Leia Organa Jedi Knights Variant Cover by Bengal | Action Figure Variant Cover by John Tyler Christopher

SECRET REBELLION!

  • As LUKE and his friends join a powerful revolt against the FENRIL CONSORTIUM, the true villain takes control.
  • A key character is kidnapped by the deadly ZANTARRK GANG!
  • RYNN and VALANCE go undercover in a desperate attempt to maintain the peace!
  • Luke’s quest to connect with his JEDI heritage is put to the test – as an ancient artifact might be the only key to victory!

I’m working on my check-in review after issue #5 came out the week of these solicits publishing and it’s clear this whole situation was heading towards getting out of control, but it’s part of what I’m hoping. I think Segura needs to go big here, but I still hope there’ll be more character moments sprinkled throughout, and maybe after the opening 10 issues we’ll get more into the characters than big conflicts. As for the ancient artifact…could it be the Crown of Verity, which allows the wearer to parse through lies and tell none themselves, and Luke needs to wear it to show those he needs to convince he isn’t lying and they’ve been lied to instead? We’ll see! I’ll be back for the next series check-in review after its tenth issue, which seems to likely be hitting in February 2026. Otherwise, Bengal’s Jedi Knight variant covers have been neat, but this one of Luke and Leia during their brief training…going to really need that!

Boba Fett: Black, White & Red #4 (on sale 12/31)

Alyssa Wong (Writer) | Sara Pichelli (Artist)
Cover by Ken Lashley | Variant Cover by Klaus Janson | Variant Cover by Luke Ross

BOBA FETT VS. THE SHADOW OF BRI-PHRANG!

  • A murder in the TARKIN family puts BOBA FETT on the hunt for a ruthless killer!
  • Things get even more wild as bounty hunter RASLIN GRACE joins the fray!
  • Will Boba get to the bottom of the murder, or will Raslin’s violent ways stop him dead in his tracks?

RASLIN GRACE! MORE TARKIN FAMILY DRAMA! RETURNING TO ERIADU AND BRI-PHRANG! AND ALYSSA WONG WRITING MORE STAR WARS?! WE ARE SO BACK. Sorry for the all-caps, but if you’ve ever read my Doctor Aphra coverage over the years, you know she’s my favorite character and Wong’s series holds a special place in my heart. While they aren’t back to write Aphra, it’s cool to see them revisiting some of their recent work: the Tarkin family and Eriadu setting featured in their The High Republic stories; and bounty hunter Raslin Grace was introduced in Revelations [2023] #1 / Doctor Aphra #40 (2020), as a threat that was set to come after Aphra. She hasn’t been mentioned in Cherish Chen’s Chaos Agent series yet, though, so either it’s coming down the line or who knows what else could be next! Also, Sara Pichelli is doing interior artwork?! ALL THE YESES!

DARK HORSE

Hyperspace Stories – Tides of Terror #4 (on sale 12/3)

George Mann (Writer), Luis Morocco/Le Beau Underwood (Artists)
Cover by Eduardo Mello

After making a startling discovery about the cause of the disaster, Jedi Master Kit Fisto dives to the sea floor in a last-ditch effort to rescue those trapped on the sinking Axil Research Station. Among the submerged ruins, he comes face-to-face with the fearsome Xorfin. Can Fisto best the monsters and save the station, or will the remaining researchers become leviathan food?

• Series finale!

Hoping this lands when it does, as this series has had some delays as of late, since I’d like to see Kit Fisto fans a chance to rejoice with their favorite front and center across this four-issue miniseries. I’ll be checking in with a review around now, if that’s when it manages to hit shelves!

The Free Comic Book Day issues and a new story all rolled into one Young Jedi Adventures package?! Sounds like a great gift for the holidays.

Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch – Rogue Agents #1 (on sale 12/17)

Michael Moreci (Writer), Reese Hannigan (Artists)
Cover by Valeria Favoccia

The Bad Batch is back! When a Separatist scientist and his dangerous invention go missing during the Clone Wars, Clone Force 99 is sent to track him down and prevent the device from falling into the wrong hands. But when Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Tech arrive at the scientist’s abandoned laboratory, they quickly realize that they aren’t the only ones on his trail . . . and that this mission will be different than any that they’ve faced before!

  • The team behind The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents returns!
  • Clone Force 99 is on the hunt for a Separatist scientist!
  • Four-issue series.

I quite enjoyed the first series by Moreci and team, Ghost Agents, so I’m glad this team gets a chance to make even more marks on the Bad Batch’s story! Also, Sanctuary: A Bad Bath Story came out recently and really filled in the series in a big and surprising way. Good time to be a fan, though I hope one day we’ll get more about what Omega all gets up to with the Rebellion (and maybe beyond)!!!
