March 2026’s Star Wars Comics are as slim as they get and we can’t even guarantee some given how many delays Dark Horse has these days. If all holds, Dark Horse has more High Republic stories for us, taking us back to the Phase II era, General Grievous gets a spooky OGN, and the Bad Batch are on their latest mission. As for Marvel, remove the ‘rvel’ and add a ‘u’ and, you guessed it, they have Maul’s latest comic series. No slouches, just not a lot to pick up. Head below for the details!
It looks like we get a Women’s History Month Variant Cover from Marvel in 2026 after all!! But…it’s only one. One single cover. Will it go the route of 2026’s Black History Month cover and be a collage of characters? We’ll update this once it’s released!
MARVEL

A PULPY, EXCITING PREQUEL SERIES SET BEFORE THE EVENTS OF THE UPCOMING DISNEY+ SHOW!
Welcome to Janix, a neon-lit, shadow-soaked maze of a planet that lies beyond the reach of the Empire. Captain Brander Lawson is doing his best to navigate the law in a lawless territory. He’s joined by his partner, a droid nicknamed Two Boots, as they face off against scheming crime bosses…and as the looming threat of the shadow lord, Maul, nears.
Yup, for the first time in, well…11 years when this comes out, it’s the first time there’s only one series out for Marvel. But it’s no slouch, as it’s the prequel comic to the upcoming Maul: Shadow Lord animated series! We don’t know when the show will be out, but dropping animated shows on May 4 totally seems like a thing these days, so maybe by then? Even with The Mandalorian and Grogu coming out, it doesn’t seem impossible for them to follow such a plan. Or else the show isn’t out until June, when this series’ final issue would hit? Or it’s out before this even starts? Regardless, I’m interested in the show and getting to see its main planet, and some side characters, get the spotlight in a tie-in comic sounds like a good idea to me, no matter when the show releases compared to the comic.
DARK HORSE
The High Republic Adventures – Pathfinders #1 (on sale 3/11)
George Mann (Writer), Partha Pratim/Jagdish Kumar (Artists)
Cover by Jake Bartok
Twenty years after Phase II of the High Republic, a brand-new team of Republic Pathfinders is dispatched to a distant corner of the galaxy to investigate the strange death of a Jedi Master! But as the team wades into a web of mystery, they discover not everything about this mission is as it seems. Can the team save the day and solve the Jedi’s mysterious demise?
- Jump into an all-new, six-issue Star Wars miniseries.
- Return to the High Republic! Set 20 years after the end of Phase II, when Republic Pathfinders explored the furthest, and most dangerous, reaches of the galaxy!
- Written by George Mann, the author of fan-favorite Star Wars titles The High Republic Adventures: Echoes of Fear and Hyperspace Stories: Qui-Gon!
- Six-issue series.
It looks like The High Republic’s Phase More is upon us, with little stories picking up the tales of favorite characters in new and exciting ways. Which Jedi Master has died? Hopefully not someone we all loved! While we learned about its new characters when it was announced, Pathfinders might tie into Phase II stories in interesting ways, as the second issue’s cover shows someone holding SILANDRO SHO’s shield (well, the Order’s shield, but she’s the OG at this point), which could be Rooper Nitani, while Atticus Cale from Echoes of Fear and Vix Fonnix from Quest of the Jedi appear on issue #1’s cover. George Mann has a pretty great track record and was integral to Phase II and beyond, so I think we’ll be in good hands!
Hyperspace Stories: Grievous (on sale 3/17)
Michael Moreci (Writer), Caio Filipe (Artists)
Cover by Michael Cho
Count Dooku has sent General Grievous to conquer the jungle planet of Katou. It’s an opportunity to prove Grievous’ worth to his Sith masters. The herders of Katou are no match for the mechanized monster. Still, when Jedi Knight Cardiff Baye and his clone troopers arrive, Grievous takes to the forest for a stealthier approach.
Can the general’s brute strength defeat the heroes of the Republic, or will his beastly nature be his downfall?
Will this actually come out?!?! Delayed more times than a smuggler jumps to hyperspace, this original graphic novel is the second in a series announced way back in October 2023. I’m not sure if we’ll ever get the rest of them at this rate, but if manages to be released, weirder things have happened. Either way, this sounds like a great story and I’m very interested to see how it works in the larger OGN format.
