You know what’s spooky….all the tie-ins and adaptations clogging up the comics in October! Marvel does finally unload the final two issues of their Rogue One tie-ins that ends with Vader doing frightening Vader things, plus they’re offering new and scary threats for Kylo Ren to face, while Dark Horse has a unsettling sounding finale to its The High Republic Adventures – Pathfinders miniseries, so even the content inside the comics has some festive fall frights to enjoy. Yet, they won’t be alone this year, as Mad Cave Studios really steps up to the plate with more original graphic novels! Head below for October 2026’s Star Wars Comics solicitations.

{Originally Solicited for August} Can always appreciate getting more of Baze Malbus and Chirrut Îmwe, especially after how well Guardians of the Whills gave them so much more depth than what was already hinted at in the films. I’m intrigued to see what unexpected thing stands in their way and what choice they have to make. In the mean time, get a glimpse at the artwork thanks to artist Kieron McKeown’s Instagram.

Kylo taking back the Knights. Tava Ren still kicking it in the story, hopefully. And this droid threat, first teased for issue #2, sounds even more dangerous than ever. Definitely feels like it’ll be connected to Ajax Sigma/Scourge/the Fermata Cage somehow, as it’s something the Knights messed with in the past. Either way, love we’re getting more weird Sith and Force-related things in this miniseries, now just can’t wait to meet it!

Director Orson Krennic’s negotiations with the gem-rich planet of Harreld have hit a standstill. Its leader, Harqque, refuses to allow the Empire to mine its rare kyber deposits for use in the Death Star’s deadly super laser. But when the Emperor catches wind of Krennic’s failure, he sends his most trusted acolyte – Darth Vader – to ply the kyber from Harqque by any means necessary.
{Originally solicited for September} Of the Rogue One anniversary one-shots, this is my least anticipated. It sounds like Vader being Vader which…is fine. It could still be quite enjoyable and I’ll give it a chance, especially with an artist like Luke Ross behind things, it’ll sure look damn good. Wish this final slot had gone to Bodhi Rook instead, probably the least explored character from the film at this point. So far these have had one fine entry, Cassian’s, and one good entry, Jyn’s.

Wish it was NEW stories with Krrsantan, which we had ever so briefly in Doctor Aphra: Chaos Agent #4! Anyways, our review of the third episode of the show!

So very absolutely totally hyped for this series! Can’t believe we’ve gotten something so varied and unique, issue after issue, that’s leading to what feels like a dark and creepy finale! Kind of hope the villain will get away for now, stopped for a moment, but could be a threat for later stories in Phase More…if they ever announce any, though at SDCC this year they did promise it’s still a priority!

Sounds like a wild ride and should be quite fun, especially for middle grade readers! I’m curious to see what other types of stories they tell through the Smugglers and Scoundrels line.
