Star Wars Comics September 2026 Solicitations

Tell me when September begins, because we’ve got more The Fall of Kylo Ren and The High Republic Adventures: Pathfinders to enjoy! There are some other comics along for the ride, like a double dose kicking off The Book of Boba Fett adaptation (not a continuation, sadly) and the final Rogue One-versary one-shot with Vader at center stage. Head below for September 2026’s Star Wars comics solicitations now!

MARVEL

Rogue One – Darth Vader #1 (on sale 9/2)

WHEN NEGOTIATIONS FAIL, THE EMPIRE SENDS IN ITS ATTACK DOG – DARTH VADER!

Director Orson Krennic’s negotiations with the gem-rich planet of Harreld have hit a standstill. Its leader, Harqque, refuses to allow the Empire to mine its rare kyber deposits for use in the Death Star’s deadly super laser. But when the Emperor catches wind of Krennic’s failure, he sends his most trusted acolyte – Darth Vader – to ply the kyber from Harqque by any means necessary.

Of the Rogue One anniversary one-shots, this is my least anticipated. It sounds like Vader being Vader which…is fine. It could still be quite enjoyable and I’ll give it a chance, especially with an artist like Luke Ross behind things, it’ll sure look damn good. Wish this final slot had gone to Bodhi Rook instead, probably the least explored character from the film at this point. So far these have had one fine entry, Cassian’s, and one good entry, Jyn’s.

The Book of Boba Fett #1 (on sale 9/9)

BOBA FETT HOLDS COURT AND FACES NEW CHALLENGES ON TATOOINE!

After escaping from the Sarlacc Pit, Boba Fett has taken over Jabba the Hutt’s syndicate—but does he have what it takes to keep Tatooine in order?

Nothing like seeing a new comic announcement, featuring Boba Fett no less, and it’s not a continuation or new story of his adventures after the first (and so far only) season of The Book of Boba Fett...it’s just another Marvel adaptation. Heck, we even haven’t gotten an official home video release and instead we get served this instead?! My policy with these hasn’t changed, I won’t be reviewing them for the site, but hey, we have an open door for writers so if you’re interested, always feel free to reach out! Otherwise, here are my reviews of the show.

The Fall of Kylo Ren #2 (on sale 9/16)

Charles Soule (Writer), Will Sliney (Artist)
Cover by Phil Noto | Variant by Nogi San | Variant Cover by Dave Dorman | Rogue One 10th Anniversary Variant Cover by Chris Sprouse

THE RETURN OF TAVA REN AND THE KNIGHTS OF REN!

  • TAVA REN returns to KYLO REN and the FIRST ODER seeking help from a terrifying new DROID threat.
  • Can even the SUPREME LEADER stop what is coming?
  • The rivalry of HUX and PRYDE intensifies as it threatens to undermine Kylo’s aggressive plans for galactic domination!

Alright, now we’re talking! Tava Ren is back, thankfully, and I can’t wait to see how her return plays out, as we all know Kylo is going to take control of the Knights, so what does that mean for her?! And what, exactly, is this new droid threat?! Is it a return of the Scourge (I sort of hope not), that ravaged the galaxy for a brief moment and the fallout of has never been touched on since?! Or is it Ajax Sigma and his rebellious little church of droids? Or something else entirely?? Either way, I also love we’ll get Hux and Pryde drama throughout, sign me the hell up for that alone!

The Book of Boba Fett #2 (on sale 9/23)

Rodney Barnes (Writer), Will Sliney (Artist)
Cover by Phil Noto | Variant Cover by Josemaria Casanovas | Variant Cover by Rod Reis | Variant Cover by Taurin Clarke

BOBA FETT FACES NEW CHALLENGES ON TATOOINE!

BOBA FETT attempts to safeguard a fragile peace with the other syndicates while remembering his grueling recovery and training with the TUSKEN RAIDERS!

Probably one of the best episodes of the show, at least. Krrsantan making his live-action appearance. The introduction to the Hutt twins. Tusken Flashbacks with humor (will love to see how they handle Boba on the bike, making the vroom-vroom gesture) and intense action. I think I might just go watch this one again!

DARK HORSE

The High Republic Adventures – Pathfinders #5 (on sale 9/9)

George Mann (Writer), Vincenzo Riccardi (Artist)
Cover by Jake Bartok

The mystery behind the Pathfinders’ plight is revealed!

From a listening post on a lonely asteroid, a Republic comms team scours galactic frequencies for vital transmissions. It’s routine work—that is, until the station’s two inhabitants begin to unravel in the far reaches of space. See their spine-tingling transformations unfold in this inventive flashback issue!

  • Six-issue series.

Two issues in and we’ve got some really fun and wild stuff, plus some returning faces (one surprising, one not) that even brought a tear of happiness from me! It’s great to have the High Republic era back, now please, please, please may these release dates stop slipping around like water and oil. Otherwise, I love that they’re bringing in Vincenzo Riccardi to do the story of whatever craziness is about to unfold…couldn’t be a more fitting artist!
