With around a month until it releases on October 29, Star Wars: Visions Vol. 3 unleashed an official trailer, showing off more footage than even the sizzle reel did at Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 earlier this year. Not only did we get a new trailer, but gained synopsis descriptions of each episode and their Japanese and English Dub cast as well! Head below for the list!

Brian Tee/Masaki Terasoma as the Ronin are the only returning cast members, though it looks like this sequel will be greatly expanded compared to the original, with such a large cast this time around. As we learned at SWCJ and the synopsis tells us here, Ronin must face a twisted Jedi Grand Master. The wild lightsabers of the first return, as there’s a character with one for a leg and another fan like one, while the Ewoks look so damn cute in this animation style. Even if this doesn’t quite honor what happens in the wildly good Ronin: A Visions Novel, and despite already having a few comics to expand its world as well, I think I’m now properly excited for this follow-up!

Karen Fukuhara/Asami Seto as F are the only returning cast for this sequel, though it’s not surprising given how F roams the galaxy. We know this will dive more into her past as she tries to protect children from the Empire, so while my heart is still skipping beats seeing her brandish her blade again in the trailer, I can’t wait to learn more about her. With the Ronin having an action figure, now’s the time for F! A name I recognized joining this short is actor Mark Strong.

Not only will the Ninth Jedi have this sequel short, but don’t forget it has a full-blown series on the way in 2026!! I’m curious to see how this will expand the story for this world and set up for the upcoming series! Given how many are returning cast wise, with Kimiko Glenn/Chinatsu Akasaki (Kara), Simu Liu/Shin-ichiro Miki (Zhima), Masi Oka/Hiromu Mineta (Ethan), and Andrew Kishino/Tetsuo Kanao (Juro), I wonder if they’ll make the jump to the series as well. Having just rewatched this one, to see if I still enjoyed it as much as I did a few years ago, I was not disappointed in the slightest.

I’m down for some more light-hearted fare and this one looks to be a lot of fun from both what was in the sizzle reel and trailer above, especially with all the landspeeder action it seems to contain.

The designs shown for this short at SWCJ were arresting to say the least and I’m eager to see what this studio does by focusing on the seedier elements of the Galaxy Far, Far Away. I was surprised how many names I recognized for the cast on this one: Emmy-award winning Anna Sawai from Shōgun, who had a hauntingly great performance I can’t get out of my head; Star Wars fans will recognize Jodie Turner-Smith from The Acolyte; comedian Ronny Chieng from shows like The Daily Show or Last Week Tonight; and Joseph Lee from Beef’s first season.

In the trailer above, those AT-ATs coming out of the snow and the astromech reconfiguring to make a X-wing mech suit for the main character are scenes from this short, and that’s all I’ve really needed to know about this one to be excited. Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once) leads the English Dub for this one!

Focusing on main character Nakime’s struggle between the dark and the light, which at SWCJ might have physical manifestations within her, I’m even more intrigued that she’s also been blinded. This one might be the big stand-out of Vol. 3 the more I hear about it! Also, George Takei returns to Star Wars after joining in Vol. 1’s “Akikara.”

Back in late August, fans at Anime NYC got a preview of this short and the official site revealed a few new images alongside the Vol. 3 key art poster. This one looks wild and abstract, as it follows a trooper’s broken psyche as they’re about to be defeated, so bring on the psychedelics!
