It doesn’t seem possible that we’re already at the 10th Anniversary of Rogue One‘s release, but maybe it’s because we just finished Andor last year? Or I don’t want to admit the passage of time? Either way, Marvel isn’t letting us forget it’s time to celebrate, as they have put together a series of one-shots focusing on key characters, like Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, and even Chirrut & Baze, which kicks off this May! In other Marvel news, we have our first glimpse at the one and only Women’s History Month variant cover for 2026, done by a new to Star Wars artist, Elena Casagrande! Coincidence the upcoming Rogue One comics only has one marginalized creative? Yes, but not a surprise when it comes to comics. Anyways, head below for the first details on all 5 Rogue One issues, several covers for it, and the preliminary Women’s History Month cover! Canon Comic Review: Doctor Aphra – Chaos Agent #1
As the New Republic brings a sort of peace to the galaxy after the Empire falls, what’s a rogue archaeologist to do when the normal chaos she thrives in goes away? In Doctor Aphra: Chaos Agent #1, the fan-favorite character returns for more misadventures, and while there’s a new and intriguing status quo for Chelli Aphra and the series, writer Cherish Chen and artist Gabriel Guzman whip up an opening issue which feels both classic Aphra and yet something new and exciting. Comic News: Doctor Aphra Returns for New Republic Hijinks, Kit Fisto Miniseries Announced
It should be no surprise to Manor visitors that I’m a giant Doctor Aphra fan, to the point she’s my favorite character. Since her superb, emotional, and memorable second series by writer Alyssa Wong, beyond a cameo appearance and flashback stories since it ended, fans have been waiting (and I’ve been theorizing like crazy) to learn when the rogue archaeologist would return. The wait is over, as she’s back this June with Marvel, fitting considering it’s Pride Month, with a new writer/artist team! Dark Horse also revealed a new miniseries focusing on the Jedi with a smile, Kit Fisto, which will hit shelves starting in July. Head below for more about Aphra’s return and Fisto’s series!
