After checking in with Yoda’s plans to figure out the Nameless, Elzar Mann & Avar Kriss’ star-crossed feelings, The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight #3 picks up with Bell Zettifar and his own struggles following the events of Starlight’s fall. Giving us a glimpse at the ways this era of the Jedi Order differs from the prequels and sets the stage for the character’s Phase III mindset, it’s another fantastic issue and makes one anxious for its final, Marchion Ro-focused one. January 2024’s Star Wars comics solicitations aren’t interested in your New Year’s resolutions or aspirations, as they have a distinct air of finality to them whether you want them to or not, seeming to promise the era of comics set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi might be winding down. But we should focus on the here and now, as Qui-Gon Jinn would say, and January’s comics have quite the bounty, from the giant, big finale to the Bounty Hunters series (see, things are ending!), a look at Marchion Ro’s victory lap after Starlight Beacon’s fall, another Visions comic to enjoy, and so much more! Summer is in the air, flowers are in full bloom, and you are probably just like me, trying to avoid allergies and get to your local comic shop to pick up the latest Star Wars comics! June 2023’s Star Wars comic solicitations foretell quite the month, from Anakin and Yoda going toe-to-toe with Megadroids (a name as Star Wars as it gets), the excellent Sana Starros miniseries takes its final bow, Aphra’s hanging out with Luke, Vader’s hanging out with….Aphra, and Luke is hanging out with…..a different doctor? Wait…what? I try to make sense of it all in solicitations of June 2023’s Star Wars Comics below!
