With Phase II nearing its end, much of Celebration Europe 2023’s High Republic panel focused on teasing what was ahead for Phase III: Trials of the Jedi, as we got a ton of title reveals and a general timeline for its length, with Phase III ending in 2025! Pair all the reveals with Alyssa Wong (Doctor Aphra) joining the team and the big news a fan favorite character appears in The Acolyte (!!!), it means The High Republic keeps on winning. Star Wars Comics June 2023 Solicitations

Summer is in the air, flowers are in full bloom, and you are probably just like me, trying to avoid allergies and get to your local comic shop to pick up the latest Star Wars comics! June 2023’s Star Wars comic solicitations foretell quite the month, from Anakin and Yoda going toe-to-toe with Megadroids (a name as Star Wars as it gets), the excellent Sana Starros miniseries takes its final bow, Aphra’s hanging out with Luke, Vader’s hanging out with….Aphra, and Luke is hanging out with…..a different doctor? The first issue for Justina Ireland and Pere Pérez’s Sana Starros miniseries was a refreshing and mesmerizing beginning, so my hopes were high it could keep up the quality going forward. High Republic Anthology Titled Tales of Light and Life, Celebration London Panel Revealed

The High Republic’s Phase II: Quest for the Jedi is barreling towards it end in May, leavings fans to wait for Phase III to start in November, though thankfully there’ll be content to tide everyone over, like the much-anticipated YA Anthology featuring all the initiative’s authors! Star Wars Comics May 2023 Solicitations

Since 2015, Sana Starros has been intermixing across various comics, often in a supporting role or co-lead role, be it coming after Han Solo for a botched job or either trying to kill or save her ex, Doctor Aphra, and now she’s taking the spotlight in this eponymous miniseries, a long overdue right for such a memorable and intriguing character. Written by Justina Ireland, with art by Pere Pérez, Sana Starros #1 explodes with a infectious energy thanks to a snappy, intriguing script and vibrant art that promises a beautiful yet wild ride across the miniseries’ 5 issues. Star Wars Comics March 2023 Solicitations

As we look ahead to March 2023 Star Wars comics with the latest solicitations, we look to have an embarrassment of riches. And the month is already packed, from Jedi: Survivor coming out, it’s novel tie-in, The Bad Batch‘s second season on-going, and The Mandalorian‘s third season begins, to name a few things…and now all these comics?!?! There’s the penultimate issue in Qi’ra’s final fight against the Sith, the end of Spark Eternal Saga in the Doctor Aphra series, the start of the Return of the Jedi anniversary one-shots, Han Solo & Chewbacca‘s ending teasing the next big event (which I might not be looking forward to), and so much more! NYCC ’22: Lucasfilm Publishing Panel Reveals Inquisitor Book, Sana Starros Comic, More!

It’s not all The High Republic news when it comes to convention panels and the Lucasfilm publishing one never disappoints to cover a wide range of mediums and a great list of guests. For NYCC 2022, alongside some new covers and peaks inside upcoming releases, a few intriguing announcements were made: the novel Inquisitor – Rise of the Red Blade, the comic miniseries Sana Starros, and an original Star Wars Visions manga! Getting more insight to the Inquisitors sounds like great time, more Visions will always be a joy, but the bigger announcement for me was bringing Sana into the spotlight with her very own comic miniseries, written by Justina Ireland!
