Star Wars Comics November 2018 Solicitations

Star Wars comics in November of 2018 have received their solicitations, so come along and peer into the comic’s future! November will see the release of a brand new miniseries, Han Solo – Imperial Cadet, which covers his time as, you guessed it, an Imperial Cadet, while both the Star Wars and Doctor Aphra series begin new arcs, with SW finally getting a new artist (!) and Aphra making it past the benchmark 25th issue. “The Catastrophe Con” might be catastrophic for all those involved, but it makes for absolutely excellent, enjoyable reading, as Doctor Aphra issue #21 puts Aphra and her flames on a collision course, the mystery of the Force Ghost troubling her stay in jail deepens, and Aphra can’t help but sabotage herself even when the rescue is THIS close.

September’s solicitations for Star Wars comics are in and while it sure seems to be an exciting month, from Vader visiting the place of his birth, Aphra finding herself in the crosshairs of multiple old foes, to plenty of “Hope” dying for the heroes of the Rebellion as the Empire starts to strike back, it’s also a sad month for the comics. Doctor Aphra‘s “Remastered” arc was full of changes for the already excellent series, from the new writing/artist blood, distancing itself from Darth Vader a bit, changing up the power dynamic between Aphra and her murderbots, to diving into a relationship between Aphra and Tolvan, and every piece fit and gelled together, proving the series could be just as fun and exciting when it ventured off into its own little corner of the galaxy.
