Right after the opening ceremonies let out and I was still processing the new The Force Awakens teaser, I stumbled my way over to the TFA Exhibit without realizing it. I love it when a plan works out! I’ve got a few short impressions from the content, with an extensive picture gallery below.
The biggest thing to come out of the exhibit are the names for each side of the galaxy’s latest conflict: The First Order and the Resistance. What rose out of the Empire’s ashes to form something so Nazi-like in name? And how come the Rebel Alliance didn’t take over and become a legitimate government, instead now a Resistance? We’ve got 30 in-universe years to uncover those secrets, some of which might start spilling in Star Wars: Aftermath.
On display were miniatures for the X-wings and the Millennium Falcon, the imposing snow and flame and normal troopers, BB-8 (!), Rey and Finn’s costumes, and Kylo Ren’s outfit plus saber. The quality of the costumes are amazing, as the troopers really look menacing and deadly, making me almost feel nervous to be around them. Can’t wait to see them all in action in December.
