At the Celebration Europe 2023 High Republic panel, there was tons of big reveals, like all the novel names for Phase III and the fact Vernestra Rwoh would somehow be in The Acolyte show, but one moment left a big question mark for fans: what was the mysterious yet to be announced title set for October?! Well, wait no longer, as This Week! In Star Wars revealed it’s an upcoming 4-issue comic miniseries, written by Charles Soule with art by Ibraim Roberson, titled Shadows of Starlight. It covers the year gap between Phase I and Phase III, focusing on different characters each issue, starting with the Jedi Order’s High Council, then Avar Kriss and Elzar Mann, next is Bell Zettifar, and lastly, Marchion Ro! Beyond that, we got synopses for two early Phase III novels, and while they don’t reveal much, it’s something. Head below for the full cover reveal and the synopses! Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2 Panel: Stunning Trailer and Story Details Revealed (SWCE 2023)
I. Am. Floored. In fact, the trailer above is so visually intriguing and promising, I would’ve been fine with just that ahead of Star Wars: Vision’s Vol. 2 release on May 4. Add in the fact how wonderful and unforgettable the first volume turned out to be, I don’t need anything more to convince me to tune in. But if you’re like me, you want all the details they’ll offer and the panel didn’t disappoint, revealing a little something about all 9 shorts, including each one’s cast, like Denis Lawson returning to voice Wedge Antilles! Marvel Star Wars Comics Panel: Dark Droids Announced, Shaak Ti “Lives,” and More! (SWCE 2023)
Having just wrapped up Qi’ra’s big return trilogy in comics, the Marvel Star Wars comics panel at Celebration Europe set its sights on the future, diving into issues coming out in the next few months and revealed the next big crossover: Dark Droids! Even before things get crazy with the crossover, there looks to be a lot to enjoy, while the Aphra series gets even weirder and intriguing with the return of Shaak Ti (?!?!) and something called Starweird, while Older writing about Max Rebo sounds fitting and I can’t wait. As for Dark Droids, let’s just say what they showed and talked about put me at ease about another crossover event. Head below for covers, previews, and more! The Bad Batch Panel: Final Season Out 2024, Fennec Shand Returns (SWCE 2023)
The Bad Batch panel was actually streaming on Celebration Live, so you can check out the whole thing, minus the exclusive trailer, after about like the first 5 minutes of the stream above. A lot of the panel was focused on Tech’s death, the themes of the season, the Zillo beast clone, and how beautiful the sushi looked. During it they announced a season three, though as I was guessing in my reviews, it’s also the show’s final season, coming out in 2024. The official site shared some details on the trailer only shown to fans, with Fennec Shan’s return shown, more big monsters, Palpatine on Tantiss, and even Commander Wolffe, among other things. Hopefully we’ll get to see some footage soon ourselves, but with it out in 2024, it might be awhile.

Publishing Panels Round Up: Dark Horse Has Jaxxon, High Republic Adventures Phase III, Lucasfilm Shows More FaCPOV – Return of the Jedi, Wookiee Reference Book, And More! (SWCA 2023)
Day Three of Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 had two different publishing focused panels, starting with a full one just for Dark Horse‘s contributions and later one for Lucasfilm Publishing‘s own works, though both were a little light on announcements. Dark Horse focused on Jaxxon, as their upcoming Annual stars the hare-brained scoundrel (and writer Cavan Scott promised there will be more), and some upcoming The High Republic Adventures teases for Phase II and Phase III. Lucasfilm Publishing spent time revealing new pages from upcoming reference titles, announcing a new one all about Wookiees (!!), and of course more The High Republic content as well. Head below for the sneak peaks! Final Gameplay Trailer for Jedi: Survivor, Out April 28 (SWCE ’23)
Jedi: Survivor keeps looking absolutely gorgeous every time we see new footage. I can’t wait to learn more about where the story for this will go, especially the potential High Republic Jedi, while the companion combat seems like such an awesome addition. While you wait for April 28, make sure to read Jedi: Battle Scars to find out some of what happened in the 5 year gap between games, and read an interview with game director Stig Asmussen for new screenshots. We hope to have a review up, probably in May, after playing the game!
