The Bad Batch Season Two Review: “The Clone Conspiracy” & “Truth and Consequences”

– Spoiler Review

The Bad Batch’s second season provides us with its next two-parter, “The Clone Conspiracy” & “Truth and Consequences,” which sees Imperial Senate debating Admiral Rampart’s plans for conscription recruitments as the truth of his destruction of Kamino threatens to become public. Combined, these are the best episodes of the season so far, even over “The Solitary Clone,” as this glimpse at the larger story and the rest of the galaxy brings some much appreciated elevated stakes, drama, and thrust for the final half of the season. The Bad Batch Season Two Review: “Tribe”

– Spoiler Review

Most of my nieces and nephews, and some of my friends’ kids, ask for Chewbacca because I’ve trained myself to put on a decent enough impression of the fearsome Wookiee. So as you can imagine the howls I had for The Bad Batch’s season two latest, “Tribe,” as Wookiee youth Gungi makes a triumphant return which sees him stumble into a fateful crossing with Clone Force 99. The Bad Batch Season Two Review: “The Solitary Clone”

– Spoiler Review

Pulling away from the rogue Clone Force 99 and focusing instead on its remaining Imperial member Crosshair, The Bad Batch’s “The Solitary Clone” is an excellent, riveting episode which forces its lead to truly contemplate how far he’s willing to go. The Bad Batch Season Two Premiere Review: “Spoils of War” & “Ruins of War”

It might be longer than expected, but Clone Force 99 is back with season two of The Bad Batch, a double premiere in episodes “Spoils of War” & “Ruins of War,” which catches new and old viewers up to the status quo and reminds us the growing problem with renegades’ lives in the post-Republic galaxy. Final The Bad Batch Season Two Trailer Arrives

With less than a month until its premiere, season two of The Bad Batch got its final trailer. While it contains quite a few things we’ve seen in Celebration Anaheim trailer (more Gungi is never a bad thing!!), it offers some new scenes with Commander Cody, Crosshair, Bail Organa, new characters, and hints at many of the adventures the team will go on in its second season, though it makes it clear not even a slight delay lead to them even considering fixing the whitewashing concerns fans have been so vocal about. The 16-episode season premieres with two episodes on January 4, 2023, and will close out on a two-part finale on March 29. Find the full episode title list, new poster, and some images below the cut! The Bad Batch Season 2 Panel (SWCA 2022)

Talk about an exciting and thrilling trailer! The Bad Batch is making a gloriously large return this fall, if the trailer is anything to go by, as it even elicited an audible gasp with the return of Jedi Padawan Gungi the Wookiee, while the updated armor is a fun change and the lush animation is hard to look away from. We’ll explore some other details and the questions which arise around Gungi’s return below, but I have to start by covering how unfortunately, while the rest of the clones look to be animated darker like their Māori ancestor, Temuera Morrison aka Jango Fett, the Bad Batch themselves have not been fixed regardless of fan outcry and their initial acknowledgment of the problem (and while the rest of the clones are looking more appropriate, now it means the darker-skinned characters are the ‘villains’), so I don’t believe they ever intended to truly address this issue and it’s a damn shame.
