The Mandalorian & Grogu Film Announced, Season 2 of Ahsoka Confirmed

After the way things ended in The Mandalorian season three, a disappointingly easy and far too quick conclusion to the series’ story so far, Jan Favreau and the story get to fail upwards in the first new Star Wars film to go into productionThe Mandalorian & Grogu. Is it the start of a series of films? Is it bringing Din Djarin and Grogu’s story to an end? Or just picking it up until Dave Filoni’s film wraps up all the Mando-verse shows story? Will Pedro Pascal be more than the voice of Din for the film at least? Why couldn’t it just be another, shorter season of the show instead? And…is that really the title? Hopefully we’ll learn more soon since it’s set to be in production later this year. Also stealthily announced was a second season of Ahsoka, which was all but certain given how it all ended, but never confirmed until now. The Mandalorian & Grogu joins the upcoming slate of films which includes Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s Rey/New Jedi Order (my most anticipated!), James Mangold’s Dawn of the Jedi, and the aforementioned Dave Filoni one.

The Mandalorian Season Three Finale Review: “Chapter 24 – The Return”

Spoiler Review –

The Mandalorian Season Three Finale “Chapter 24 – The Return” brings lots of action and has fun doing it, but the ending doesn’t feel deserved as characters arcs are abandoned or left to fade to the background of a safe plot and a neat bow, leaving this feeling more like a series finale than just the season and me wondering if it needs to come back. The Mandalorian “Chapter 19 – The Convert” manages to both push Din Djarin and Bo-Katan’s story forward in bookend moments, while it packs the middle with an absolutely intriguing glimpse inside the New Republic’s process for ex-Imperials, though it stumbles a bit with its comments on morality. The Mandalorian Season Three Premiere Review: “Chapter 17- The Apostate”

Spoiler Review –

It’s simultaneously been over 2 years since The Mandalorian last aired and yet only over a year since we last saw Din Djarin and Grogu, as The Mandalorian season three premiere picks up after where their story left off in their takeover of The Book of Boba Fett. “Chapter 17 – The Apostate” won’t make this clear to those who didn’t partake but, besides why Grogu isn’t with Luke Skywalker still, viewers won’t find it difficult getting into the swing of things with this exciting, fast paced premiere that charts the trajectory for the season.
