Chandrila is a planet we’ve only really read about in canon, never quite seen outside of a small panel or two in other comics, so I’m excited at the prospect of spending some considerable time there in the pages of this series, as assassination attempts and Imperial attacks come its way. It’s nice to know Lando, Luke, Leia, and Han will feature heavily in these events, but having time to focus on Mon Mothma too is a big plus, especially as the character continues her renaissance in 2025 thanks to Andor and the first entry in the Reign of the Empire novel trilogy, and I’m sure even more showings in all the upcoming post-Return of the Jedi shows/movies. I’ll be interested to see how much of this hints at or teases what happens next to the Imperials when they make for the unknown regions…could this mean we’re finally going to explore those events aka more RAE SLOANE in our lives?! Either way, as of this publishing, we’re only a week away from the beginning of the maxiseries, so the next solicitation post I’ll already have some reviews of the series under the belt, while in October at NYCC we might get our first hint at what Marvel will do after this is all over.
Ewoks #3 (on sale 12/18)
Steve Orlando (Writer), Laura Braga (Artist)
Cover by Pete Woods | Variant Cover by Paulo Siqueria | Action Figure Variant by John Tyler Christopher
THE IMPERIALS CONTINUE THEIR INVASION OF ENDOR!
- With WICKET captured and forced to guide the IMPERIAL scouting party through Endor, the other Ewoks must form a party of their own to get him back!
- Warrior MEEDRO and the mysterious RED GHOST may be the only hope for the young Ewok.
- What horrors await both teams at the site of the Imperial weapons cache?
I can only imagine how annoyed the Imperials will be having Wicket parade them around Endor, so I’m looking forward to him purposefully being unhelpful AND I’m eager to see what this other Ewok party will do to try and get him back! Honestly, as The Battle of Jakku takes over the Marvel comics line, it’s going to be nice to have something a little more humorous/less serious than it to enjoy, like a nice refresher.

DARK HORSE
The High Republic Adventures #13 – Phase III (on sale 12/11)
Daniel José Older (Writer), Caìo Filipe (Artist)
Cover by Harvey & Kevin Tolibao | Variant Cover Pictured
Padawan Ram Jomaram and Jedi Knight Farzala Tarabal have begun gathering brave fighters to repel the Nihil invasion of Valo. But uniting the war-weary people to defend their home is proving to be a battle all its own. Will the Jedi and their allies be able to inspire a resistance in the face of such destruction?
- Meanwhile, a shocking discovery on Eriadu inflames tensions!
{Advanced Solicited back in November’s} The fight for Valo won’t be an easy one, it seems, but I’m sure it’ll be entertaining to us readers! I’m wondering what this discovery on Eriadu will end up being, if it’s some duplicitousness by a member of the Tarkin family or something the Nihil are up to that no one realized until now.
The High Republic Adventures – Echoes of Fear #4 (on sale 12/11)
George Mann (Writer), Vincenzo Federici (Artist)
Cover by Eduardo Mello
Jedi Knight Reath Silas and Jedi Padawan Amadeo Azzazzo embark on a desperate mission to recover the Rod of Ages—the last known fragment of an Echo Stone–in time to help contain the greatest threat that has ever faced the Jedi Order: the deadly Force eaters known as the Nameless.
- Series finale!
{Advanced Solicited back in November’s} Very intrigued to see the Rod of Ages will finally come back into play and maybe even end up in Jedi hands, a huge help in the struggle against the Nihil’s powerful usage of the Force eating Nameless! It hasn’t really been mentioned since Path of Deceit, the Phase II opening novel, but I love how the lore for the Echo Stones, the Nameless, and more are all coming together as we head into the final 6-7 months of the initiative.
The High Republic Adventures – Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone #3 (on sale 12/18)
Daniel José Older (Writer), Lucas Marangon (Artist)
Cover by Jake Bartok
Jedi Master and expert investigator Emerick Caphtor seeks the true nature of the Nameless! To help him solve the mystery of the “Force Eaters,” Emerick has brought on a Nihil prisoner-of-war with knowledge of the creatures. Together, the unlikely duo crosses the volcanic landscape of a distant moon in search of answers. Will the Jedi’s travelling companion prove to be a liability or an asset on this treacherous journey?
{Advanced Solicited back in November’s} Emerick and Niv Drendow will star in this issue, but according to Older himself, maybe don’t judge the issue by its solicit, as he took to Twitter to reveal things have changed with the story since the blurb was originally written. Emerick and Niv Drendow will make for a unique pairing, either way, so it should be a memorable issue regardless!
The High Republic Adventures – The Wedding Spectacular (on sale 12/18)

Cover by Cherriielle | Variant by 5healthMONO | Variant by Priscilla Bampoh

{Advanced Solicited back in November’s} An incredible moment, a queer wedding comic special event in Star Wars comics, and one fans have been hoping for over the last few years at that! We covered the news as it was announced a day before this publishing and you really should go check out the article to see all three exceptional covers for the issue! I love how Cherrielle, originally a fan artist of the series, not only has been making covers for the series already and is behind the main cover for The Wedding Spectacular, but she also created Zeen Mrala and Lula Talisola’s gowns!!! Given Older’s writing and the all-star artists behind the issue, we’re going to be in for a real big treat in December!
The High Republic Adventures #14 – Phase III (on sale 1/15/2025) {Advanced Solicited}
Daniel José Older (Writer), Harvey Tolibao (Artist)
Cover by Harvey & Kevin Tolibao
Fighting erupts on Eriadu! After months of oppression by the dastardly Nihil, valiant partners Lula and Zeen lead the charge against the occupying force. Meanwhile, a hidden danger stirs beneath the battlefield that threatens to turn the tide of the war, but in whose favor? The fate of the galaxy is on the line as the final arc of The High Republic Adventures begins!
• The final arc begins here with the first of four connecting covers (Cover A), that will create a spectacular landscape piece!
It’s absolutely wild to read the words “the final arc” in regards to The High Republic Adventures – Phase III, as it’s been the longest run of the Phase and so many great spin-offs and one-shots have come from it…and it means we’re definitely marching towards the end of the era once 2025 hits. Looking forward to it, as this has been a blast and I can’t wait to see how it all wraps up.
Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch – Ghost Agents (on sale 1/22/2025) {Advanced Solicited}
Michael Moreci (Writer), Reese Hannigan, Ruairi Coleman (Artist)
Cover by Valeria “Lux” Favoccia
The Bad Batch is back for another high-octane adventure set during the Clone Wars! Their mission: to hunt down the mysterious Separatist ghost agent who executed a daring heist on Coruscant! The thief’s trail leads Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Tech to the seediest corners of the galaxy where kingpins and thugs threaten the clones’ mission – and their lives! Have the Bad Batch met their match?
- The first Bad Batch solo comics miniseries, set during the Clone Wars!
- Written by Michael Moreci, the bestselling author of Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories and Burning Fields, and illustrated by Ruairi Coleman, the acclaimed artist of Star Wars Adventures: The Weapon of a Jedi and Captain Marvel.
- Five issue series.
The announcement said Reese Hannigan as illustrator but the solicitations says Ruairi Coleman, so…I guess we’ll see when we get closer to release. Either way, I’m hyped to have Moreci back, as he did a great job with the Bad Batch in the main Hyperspace Stories, while just having more of the main crew together should be fun, considering they were put through quite the ringer in the show.
