It’s time for July’s 2025 Star Wars comics solicitations! As for what you can expect: for starters, just when you thought The High Republic was over, they pull you right back in for one more month, though one issue is due to a delay and another newly announced, but then for sure, for sure, this part of its storytelling should be over; Yaddle takes the stage in Jedi Knights; Kylo goes after an Order 66 survivor, the Bad Batch must survive Aurra Sing with the fate of the Clone Wars on the line; Kit Fisto is front and center in a new series; Chelli Aphra and Luke Skywalker might be dealing with quite the interesting society; and so much more! Head below for your full 2025 July Star Wars comics solicitations!

JEDI MASTERS SEERA LONGA AND YADDLE FACE THE DARKEST MYSTERY!
- Yaddle and Seera must unravel a strange situation involving the Trade Federation.
- Guest-starring the mysterious Count Dooku!
- Will Yaddle save the life of the man destined to kill her?
Two issues in, Jedi Knights’ format has been a hit, and keeps me exciting for each new installment. Putting Yaddle in an issue has me all types of excited, as the High Republic era has given her more and more to do, while it’s juicy to have Dooku in the same issue considering he’s the one who kills her. As for Seera, one of the new Jedi introduced to the series, I’ll be interested to learn more about her as Vetna Mooncrest’s deeper dive in issue #2 was a solid start to a potentially complex character.
Legacy of Vader #6 (on sale 7/9)

KYLO REN TRACKS DOWN ONE OF THE LAST ORDER 66 SURVIVORS!
- After a brutal takeover of Corellia, Kylo Ren begins a new quest!
- The young tyrant begins his search for one of the last of the Order 66 surviving Jedi!
- Who is this mysterious Jedi, and how did she escape the brutal takedown of her people?
Given issues #4 and #5 are about Naboo, are we missing the brutal takeover of Corellia?! Is that a typo and that’s meant to say Naboo? Or is Corellia involved in those issues as well?! I hope we don’t miss that, as I’m curious how much Kylo knows about his dad’s history with the planet, could be ripe for Kylo to be imagining his father’s time there as he takes it down. Regardless, what’s coming after Corellia sounds very intriguing: Kylo tracking down an Order 66 survivor! How did she escape? Why did she not join up with the Rebellion or Luke’s resurgent Order? And…why is she a Knight of Ren?! At Celebration Japan 2025, we were introduced to Tava Ren, the Order 66 survivor, and she’s a Knight of Ren, so there’s even more questions to come from her introduction!
Star Wars #3 {2025} (on sale 7/16)
Alex Segura (Writer), Phil Noto (Artist)

RETURN TO CLOUD CITY!
- HAN SOLO, BEILERT VALANCE and LANDO CALRISSIAN must help an old friend.
- Witness the long friendship of HAN, CHEWIE and LANDO in exciting flashbacks to bygone eras!
- And a mysterious figure from the past re-emerges using a new model CLOUD CAR!
First the unnamed ‘old friend’ and then the ‘mysterious figure from the past’? Sounds like a lot of mystery and reveals are on their way. Though my biggest question is not about the who, but rather why…why is a new model Cloud Car that big of a deal?! Does it have a Death Star laser on it? Or is just to make ship fans like Lando and Han jealous? Flashbacks could be fun, but I hope they don’t overcome the main story of whatever’s happening with these unnamed individuals.
Doctor Aphra: Chaos Agent #2 (on sale 7/23)

DOCTOR APHRA AND LUKE SKYWALKER TOGETHER AGAIN!
- On the distant world of AARGAU, LUKE SKYWALKER and DOCTOR APHRA track down a valuable artifact.
- An unstable underworld collector has a different plan for them!
- Will the New Republic’s newest agent betray her JEDI friend for a chance at the prize?
I just really need to have this series start, stop teasing me with new issues!! And all these wonderful variant covers, my goodness, my wallet is NOT going to be happy! Anyways, after looking it up, Aargau was a planet first made for Marvel’s Original Years, and while it was largely just mentioned in different works, it got an article on Wizards of the Coast that expanded it a lot. Supposedly the planet has three rules that, if broken, result in execution: don’t remove the planet’s precious metals, visitors can’t have weapons, and don’t deceive the planet’s bank. I’d love for these to still be the case in canon, or a version of them, as it could make for quite the obstacle for Aphra and Luke, who both keep a weapon on hand and are trying to take an artifact off-planet. And an unstable underworld collector is messing with them? Count me in!!!
The High Republic – The Finale: The Beacon #1 (on sale 7/30)
Cavan Scott (Writer), Marika Cresta (Artist)
Cover by Phil Noto | Revenge of the Sith 20th Anniversary Variant Cover by Chris Sprouse | Variant Cover by Ario Anindito | Variant Cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli
THE END OF THE BEGINNING!
- The final battle between the Jedi and the Nihil has been fought, sacrifices have been made and the dust settles.
- As friends and allies gather for one last celebration, a decision is made, and a fate sealed.
- Guest-starring faces from across the best-selling multimedia initiative.
- All roads lead to Dalna.
Nope. Nope, nope. Definitely nope. THE FINALE?! It’s almost here, the final entry in this current iteration of the High Republic publishing initiative?! I am not emotionally ready, not matter how hard I try. But I’m going to focus less on the ending of it all, of getting these final glimpses of favorite characters’ fates, and instead on the mystery of why Dalna is being brought up again? Dalna hosted the Path of the Open Hand, which led to the Night of Sorrows, and then Lourna Dee, before she reformed, helped see a plan through to decimate the planet’s ecology, but now she’s been guarding it as it comes back to life. So why are roads leading back there?! Is it a hint about what’s to come after this?!? You have my attention!
DARK HORSE
Hyperspace Stories – The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents #5 (on sale 7/2)
Michael Moreci (Writer), Reese Hannigan (Artist)
Cover by Valeria “Lux” Favoccia
The Bad Batch survived Aurra Sing once. But her mission isn’t yet complete, and the clones will have to face the bounty hunter a second time if they want to save her next target! Clone Force 99 put their lives on the line in one final confrontation with the notorious assassin. If they fail, it could cost the Republic countless agents…and the entire war!
Another series I’m not reviewing per issue, but since this is the finale, check back to the Manor in July for my miniseries review. The first two issues have been a fun return to these characters and I really really like the way little images of each Batch member is attached to their word bubbles when they’re off-panel, helping readers keep track of them in a simple, visually friendly way.
Hyperspace Stories – Codebreaker #3 (on sale 7/2)
Ethan Sacks (Writer), Marc Yarza (Artist)
Cover by Diego Galindo
The First Order searches high and low for Poe and BB-8 after the heroes’ daring escape! Can the pair make it off world without being captured?
As of this publishing, issue #1 of Codebreaker is set to hit shelves April 30, so we’ll get our first taste of the series very soon. I won’t be reviewing this per issue, but rather as a miniseries once it’s all over later this year. Make sure to follow me on Bluesky, I’ll at least share my per-issue thoughts there!
Hyperspace Stories – Tides of Terror #1 (on sale 7/16)
George Mann (Writer), Luis Morocco/Le Beau Underwood (Artists)
Cover by Eduardo Mello | Variant Cover by Pius Bak | Variant Cover Edwin Galmon
Jedi Master Kit Fisto has been sent to the ocean planet Tordus, alongside Mace Windu and Shaak Ti, to investigate a controversial underwater research facility. The facility is in danger of flooding and being crushed into rubble, and if that’s not enough, there are giant monsters circling them. With disaster looming, his diplomatic excursion quickly becomes a rescue mission! Kit Fisto and his fellow Jedi must race against the clock to save innocent lives from the hungry leviathans that fill the depths. This standalone story is full of murky intrigue and ancient abyssal nightmares. Can the Jedi fend off the danger lurking in the ocean’s briny waters?
With The High Republic Adventures coming to an end (now in July, as it seems to have been delayed, see below), Dark Horse would basically be out of the Jedi business, but Tides of Terror brings the lightsaber swinging action back to their pages, and I appreciate it’s following some lesser focused on Jedi, like Kit Fisto and Shaak Ti!
The High Republic Adventures #20 – Phase III (on sale 7/16)
Daniel José Older (Writer), Harvey Tolibao (Artist)
Cover by Elisa Romboli | Variant Cover by Daniel José Older
The High Republic Adventures comes to an epic conclusion! Now that the Battle of Eriadu is over, what’s next for these young heroes? Join the creative team who started it all for the final chapter of this iconic series!
• The climactic final battle between the Jedi and the Nihil that has been years in the making!
{Originally solicited for June, now out July. What follows is my original thoughts, with minor updates} The High Republic Adventures has been Phase III’s big, beating heart, with lots of spin-offs and story, all culminating in the big Battle of Eriadu we’re currently still in the middle of! And in June July, Daniel José Older’s time with the series, and maybe even Star Wars (hopefully just for now), will be ending. I’m not emotionally ready to leave these characters just yet and I’m sure Older and team will make it even harder in these final two issues in this final issue. It just doesn’t seem like it should be over already! Ugh! Either way, I’m eager to see Older’s variant cover for issue #20!
