For March’s 2025 Star Wars comics, Marvel finally has more original series than adaptations as Jedi Knights begins, while Dark Horse’s The High Republic Adventures output reaches the penultimate moment in the Battle of Eriadu and we get more Bad Batch shenanigans. Check out all the March 2025 Star Wars comic solicitations below!
Much like with February 2025’s Black History Month variant covers, we’ll have a separate post for 2025’s Women’s History Month variant covers when they are all released! I’ll update this with the link when we do!

FIRST ISSUE IN THE PREQUEL ERA!
- It begins here: MARVEL’S first series focusing on the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy: THE JEDI KNIGHTS!
- Featuring your favorite JEDI like QUI-GON JINN, OBI-WAN KENOBI, YODA and MACE WINDU alongside BRAND-NEW JEDI sure to become fan favorites!
- And who is the mysterious new villain targeting Qui-Gon Jinn?
Announced at NYCC ‘24, Marc Guggenheim’s Jedi Knights, with art by Madibek Musabekov, explores the Order in the time before The Phantom Menace, featuring familiar and new Jedi in issues which focus on different pairs, all connected by the thread there’s someone who has it out for Qui-Gon Jinn! There’ll be the first disabled Jedi and the canonization of Atha Prime, a character from a Kenner toy initiative that was ultimately cancelled. Following Guggenheim on Bluesky, he’s talked about working on the series (he’s up to 20 issues so far on the run!) and sharing his excitement for readers to experience it and Marvel Editor Mark Paniccia has been providing page/panel previews! Getting pretty excited for this one!
Legacy of Vader #2 (on sale 3/12)
Charles Soule (Writer), Luke Ross (Artist)
Cover by Derrick Chew | Variant by Alan Quah | Variant by David López | Variant by Rafael Grassetti | Women’s History Month Variant Cover by Betsy Cola
A RETURN TO TATOOINE!
- KYLO REN seeks out the home planet of his grandfather, ANAKIN SKYWALKER!
- The young tyrant must go up against GARDULLA THE HUTT and her guards…and a RANCOR!
- What secrets of the past blow in the harsh sands of MOS ESPA?
First Kylo Ren visits Mustafar and now he’s going to Tatooine?! The greatest Skywalker hits are coming as the young leader of the First Order struggles to understand the way forward, I guess. Justice for Anakin with Gardulla? I’ll be very curious to see where this is all going!
The High Republic – Fear of the Jedi #2 (on sale 3/26)
Cavan Scott (Writer), Marika Cresta (Artist)
Cover by Phil Noto | Variant by Valerio Giangiordano | Variant by Pete Woods | Women’s History Month Variant Cover by Ema Lupacchino
THE BATTLE FOR NABOO BEGINS!
- As KEEVE TRENNIS prepares to breach the STORMWALL, the LOURNA DEE of old returns with murder on her twisted mind.
- The villainous NIHIL hold NABOO, but for how long?
- A call to arms is heard and battle lines drawn!
Having recently finished Tempest Breaker, the audio drama which continues the story from The High Republic – Phase III and leads into this series, this solicit is confusing. I won’t spoil much from Breaker, but Lourna Dee potentially regressing from what happens in the audio drama is a big surprise and is a little disappointing to hear, but once we have more context I can truly judge it. But also…battling for Naboo again, after Temptation of the Force? Huh. Lastly, this seems to only be 5 issues, so a total 15 for THR in Phase III, technically, making it equal to Phase I’s run.
The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation #2 (on sale 3/26)
Jody Houser (Writer), Will Sliney (Artist)
Cover by Phil Noto | Movie Variant Cover Also Available | Women’s History Month Variant Cover by Jan Duursema
THE FIRST ORDER STRIKES!
- REY and KYLO REN’s confrontation explodes when they finally come face-to-face!
- The FIRST ORDER captures CHEWBACCA – will our heroes be able to rescue him, or is it already too late?
- With nowhere else to turn, POE DAMERON seeks out a mysterious figure from his past!
I get this is only 5 issues long, but this seems to be going even faster than necessary…is there just that much more additional scenes being added in later on?? Or throughout? I guess I’ll find out from people sharing them online/the TPB whenever it comes out!
DARK HORSE
The High Republic Adventures #16 – Phase III (on sale 3/12)
Daniel José Older (Writer), Harvey Tolibao (Artist)
Cover by Harvey & Kevin Tolibao
The Battle of Eriadu rages on, as shocking developments continue to shift the tide of the conflict! A Nihil victory seems all but assured, thanks to their overwhelming forces and savage tactics. But will the unexpected arrival of a powerful combatant dash their evil ambitions? The Warden won’t give up easily, and he will do anything to defeat the Jedi!
• Issues 14-17 create one large connected landscape image!
Older just revealed on Bluesky that he was putting the finishing touches on the final issues of the series, which we now know will end with issue #20, which at the current release schedule/rate would be out in July, one month after Charles Soule’s Trials of the Jedi novel…curious if they’ll try to line this up and have more than one issue in June so everything is out at the same time. Regardless, I’m eager to see who the powerful combatant is for the Jedi’s side!
Hyperspace Stories – The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents #2 (on sale 3/26)
Michael Moreci (Writer), Reese Hannigan (Artist)
Cover by Valeria “Lux” Favoccia
The Bad Batch race bounty hunter Embo to recover stolen intelligence that could compromise Republic spies everywhere! Their mission brings them face-to-face with the nefarious Pyke Syndicate, a notorious gang of spice smugglers that poses a serious threat to the clones. Will the Bad Batch escape with their lives before Embo flees with the intel? The Republic war effort depends on it!
• A new Bad Batch adventure, set during the Clone Wars!
• Five issue series.
After a pretty solid two seasons of TV, the Bad Batch still have a few stories left in them to tell, and one that involves the original crew going up against someone like Embo sounds like a fun continuation of their skills.
