Mynock Manor, being Hyperspace’s Last Stop, is a big place, but it doesn’t need to be a big lonely place. Beyond our staffs’ contributions to the Manor, we have an open door policy for submissions, be it for quest pieces or a staff writer, and we’d love to help diversify the fandom with your voice!

With so much new content coming to Star Wars fans, from the endless list of TV shows, The High Republic publishing initiative, to other books and comics expanding the Saga’s world and story, there’s always an opportunity for new writers to have something to talk about. Even if the content is being covered, from books, comics, TV, films, and more we’d love an opportunity to add your voice to the coverage, especially if you’re from an underrepresented population, giving material a wider viewpoint than we normally offer.

The Manor is heavily focused on producing reviews, but we have plenty of opinion pieces (called Butler Confessions here!) and we are eager to see them expand the most! Deep dives and big-picture analysis of the franchise at large are some of the more interesting subjects the Manor would like to host. All aspects of the franchise are free to pitch ideas about, though something not normally on the site or a very unique concept/point-of-view will be more likely to be accepted; approaching the Saga from a nuanced way is a best practice and even unpopular opinions won’t be dismissed out-of-hand either! There’s always room to grow the voices in fandom and we’re open to any and all, as mentioned earlier, as the Saga is enjoyed by many who don’t often get to voice their opinion.

That being said, the Manor is NOT open to some concepts, like listicles or simple recaps without analysis, while derogatory content has no room here, especially anything along the lines of Disney/SJWs/etc ruined Star Wars nonsense. Critiques should be mindful and not focused on fighting something you hate, rather saving something you love.

Submission Guidelines

Submission pitches and ideas are to be sent to the Head Butler Ryan at mynock dot manor at gmail dot com.

Please include “Mynock Manor Submission” in the headline, while the body of email should offer details on the plans and scope of your idea, from what conclusion you’re trying to reach and a rough idea on length of the subject. The Head Butler will respond to all submission ideas, though allow for 3-5 days after sending.
