Conventions and their panels can thankfully still happen virtually, so Lucasfilm provided The High Republic with its own NYCC 2020 panel to tease what’s about to release and reveal even more stories yet to come! Summer 2021 will see THR‘s story continue in three new novels, yet untitled: Cavan Scott will write an adult novel from Del Rey, Justina Ireland will write the next YA novel for Disney-Lucasfilm Press, and Daniel José Older will pen the middle grade novel, also from DLF. And while THR launches properly in January, you can get your first taste of the era in December thanks to Titan when they bring back serialized stories to Star Wars Insider with a story penned by Charles Soule! Head below for some of the teases from the authors in the short panel and the pages for Marvel’s The High Republic seen in the video…or watch it all above! (Update: THR has begun and our reviews are rolling in!) Continue reading “NYCC 2020: The High Republic Panel Reveals More Books Coming Summer 2021!”

NYCC 2015: New Star Wars Novels, Short Stories, and Comics Announced! (UPDATED)
It’s already seemingly a fantastic time to be a Star Wars fan, what with 6 new films on the horizon and all the comics and novels already in the works, but it’s only going to get better and better: at NYCC the other two entries in the Aftermath Trilogy got subtitles (and release windows), Claudia Gray has a new novel, a couple of short stories are on the way, and a new comics series called Obi-Wan and Anakin were all announced! Your wallets won’t be happy with an awakening of this magnitude. Continue reading “NYCC 2015: New Star Wars Novels, Short Stories, and Comics Announced! (UPDATED)”
Exciting New Star Wars Rebels Season Two Trailer Premiered at NYCC 2015
Sit back and enjoy these three minutes of Star Wars Rebels Season Two teasing goodness, because it’s almost as entertaining of a trailer as the one shown at Celebration Anaheim in April. Whether it’s Ahsoka vs the two new Inquisitors, Sabine and her Mandalorian heritage, Imperial Interdictor cruisers, more of the returning clones, that Palpatine is still stealing Force-sensitive younglings, details on Ezra’s parents, or new characters like the mysterious bounty hunter, you probably don’t have a pulse if you watched the trailer and weren’t in the least bit excited for the new season. PlayStation Exclusive TV Show Powers Gets Trailer
The NSFW trailer for the PlayStation Network exclusive show Powers has definitely garnered my attention. The gritty, realistic world with a hard-R tone looks to provide a new experience for fans of messed up, non-goody two-shoes superheroes. Plus, Sharlto Copley seems to commit 110% to each of his roles and watching him play an ex-superhero should be another blast next to his Elysium and District 9 roles. More information on the series below.

Star Wars New York Comic Con 2014 Plans
New York Comic Con 2014 takes place from October 9-12 and will be packed with almost as much goodies as SDCC. Revealed so far on the mobile app, there’ll be a panel for Marvel’s Netflix-exclusive Daredevil (including the full cast), a look at the shrouded-in-much-secrecy Tomorrowland from Disney, and Constantine and Gotham panels to say the least. On top of those, Star Wars is guaranteed to have its presence felt in at least three panels. Continue reading “Star Wars New York Comic Con 2014 Plans”
