Starting in January 2021 with Charles Soule’s Light of the Jedi, The High Republic has captivated fans for years now with a large cast of characters, unique era and stakes, tons of representation, and so much more. With Dark Droids #1, writer Charles Soule and artist Luke Ross kick off the big event by introducing us to the dastardly force ready to sweep across the droids of the galaxy and those who might rise up against it, leaving many of my concerns prior to this release in the dust along the way. While it gets a little too convoluted for its own good, it’s a well-paced and enjoyable little ride. Continue reading “Canon Comic Review: Return of the Jedi – The Rebellion #1” →
