Publishing News: Obi-Wan & Anakin Audiobook Released, Bad Batch Comic Miniseries & High Republic Adventures Annual Announced!

Sometimes, it’s just one of those days: an audiobook original for Audible gets shadow dropped by Disney Lucasfilm Press, while Dark Horse announces both a Bad Batch focused miniseries for January 2025 (via Star Wars News Net), and The High Republic Adventures Annual Phase III. Audible’s Padawan’s Pride follows a young Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the early days of their training (and I’ve already listened to some of it), Clone Force 99 rides again in Hyperspace Stories – The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents, set during the Clone Wars, and the THRA Annual bring 5 stories of light and life during the era’s third Phase. D23 2024: Skeleton Crew Trailer, Andor Season Two Details, and More!

D23 hasn’t always been the place to go for Lucasfilm announcements or reveals, and it still was pretty subdued this year too (not even an The Acolyte season two announcement?!), but we did get our first public Skeleton Crew trailer, while panel-goers where treated to a sizzle reel for Andor season two and some brief shots from The Mandalorian and Grogu film. New Details on Star Wars Outlaws Story Expansions, Updated Buyer’s Guide {UPDATED}

We are less than a month away from the release of Star Wars Outlaws, one of my most anticipated Star Wars releases in a while, and now Ubisoft and Massive have revealed more details about the game’s additional story content expansions! Coming out Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 respectively, Wild Card and A Pirate’s Fortune will bring new adventures to Kay Vess’ story, which includes hanging out with the notorious pirate Hondo Ohnaka! Skeleton Crew Releases December 3, New Photos and Details Revealed!

With a LEGO set featuring the main ship from the upcoming Skeleton Crew show made its appearance in Target without any official reveal (prompting a pun I’m totally not sorry about) and Disney’s D23 convention coming up soon, it seemed like we were destined to finally see more about the Jude Law and kids-led show. Novel News: Reign of the Empire Trilogy Announced, Alexander Freed’s The Mask of Fear Begins February 2025

Beginning with Alexander Freed’s Reign of the Empire – The Mask of Fear on February 25, 2025, the trilogy is set to chart a course of the Rebellion’s rise in the 20 years between the prequel and original trilogies, with the subsequent releases coming from authors Rebecca Roanhorse and Fran Wilde! Star Wars Comics October 2024 Solicitations

Marvel is taking its Star Wars comics beyond Return of the Jedi in October, with both an Ewoks miniseries and the beginning of The Battle of Jakku maxiseries, and I will say this works very well as my birthday gift! Thank you, Marvel! As the Battle of Jakku is releasing almost weekly, we have the opening chunk of its 12-issue story to enjoy, as well as the ending of the Inquisitors miniseries, and lots of The High Republic goodness thanks to Dark Horse, so head below to read all about it!
