Star Wars Comics June 2025 Solicitations

I was already conflicted over my feelings for June 2025’s Star Wars comics, but I’m even more so after the big news: Doctor Aphra returns in her next series!! I’m beyond hyped to have her particular brand of chaos back and love she’s launching during Pride Month, but June also contains the big finale to the entire The High Republic initiative (for now), which I’m both excited for and concerned as hell for! Yay more Aphra, sad the High Republic is closing! Conflicted, for sure. Whether you are or not, head below to see June 2025’s Star Wars comics solicitations!

Comic News: Doctor Aphra Returns for New Republic Hijinks, Kit Fisto Miniseries Announced

It should be no surprise to Manor visitors that I’m a giant Doctor Aphra fan, to the point she’s my favorite character. Since her superb, emotional, and memorable second series by writer Alyssa Wong, beyond a cameo appearance and flashback stories since it ended, fans have been waiting (and I’ve been theorizing like crazy) to learn when the rogue archaeologist would return. The wait is over, as she’s back this June with Marvel, fitting considering it’s Pride Month, with a new writer/artist team! Dark Horse also revealed a new miniseries focusing on the Jedi with a smile, Kit Fisto, which will hit shelves starting in July. Head below for more about Aphra’s return and Fisto’s series! Andor Season Two Trailer Revolutionizes

While your mileage may vary with the choice of song—I for one am really looking forward to more of Nicholas Britell’s riveting score—there’s no denying the striking and thrilling imagery in Andor‘s season two trailer! Given the excellence Andor climbed in season one, I don’t think we were expecting anything less! I particularly enjoyed Cassian swooping down after the missile strike, seeing Bix Caleen more involved, Krennic’s return, and whatever colorful rave Mon Mothma was in, to name a few of the intriguing glimpses of the show’s return. Set for April 22 (just after Celebration Japan 2025, where I’m sure they’ll show it early), Andor season two will release across four weeks of three episode chunks, as technically the show jumps a year after each set of three episodes, so it sort of makes sense to make them one big movie-like experience. I’d still have loved for it to be weekly, but it’s more Andor, so how can I complain?! I’ll be reviewing them in the three episode chunks once Andor hits our Disney+ using devices in April!

Star Wars Comics May 2025 Solicitations

The world might be in disarray, but damn it if Star Wars Day aka May the Fourth won’t try its best to cheer us all up a little bit, hopefully! And when the day and deals are done, all our retail therapy completed, there’s still plenty of Star Wars comics to enjoy as well, like the start of Star Wars (2025), a kaiju special in Jedi Knights, Kylo Ren visiting Naboo, and the Battle of Eraidu reaching its epic ending(truly this time)! Check out May 2025’s Star Wars Comics Solicitations below, which includes my theorizing rabbit hole about a new Doctor Aphra series!

Publishing News: Bad Batch Novel, Sequel Trilogy-set Manga Announced!

With The High Republic era coming to an end in June, what else will publishing give fans to read in its absence? We already know some of the comics on the way, but now we have two early answers when it comes to booms, first being an upcoming manga called Path of the Lightsaber, which does have a High Republic connection, and the second being a novel about Clone Force 99 titled Sanctuary – A Bad Batch Novel, giving fans more time with their favorites! Find out more below! Continue reading “Publishing News: Bad Batch Novel, Sequel Trilogy-set Manga Announced!”

High Republic News: Trials of the Jedi Cover Revealed!

While there are much bigger worries in the world, I still found myself a little anxious over the coming cover reveal from Charles Soule’s High Republic grand finale novel, Trials of the Jedi. Not concerning its content, but rather the bittersweet fact it’s the last (as we know, for now…) novel cover reveal for the era. It’s been an incredible journey these four years and seeing this cover, well…it’s really settling in the end isn’t just near, it’s practically here. January 29 has a big High Republic comic release, with endings to a few miniseries, the first Annual issue in a while, and the beginning of the big Battle of Eriadu storyline, so the ending has never felt more unavoidable until now, something I’m not sure how to process just yet. But enough about my melancholy, how about let’s see this gorgeous full cover?! Head below for the whole thing by Grant Griffin, as well as some additional minor details! Star Wars Comics April 2025 Solicitations

I could open this up with a variation on the joke about ‘April showers’ but I feel like I’ve done it before and done it dirty already, so no need to put you, or me, through that again. But I can say April 2025’s Star Wars comics aren’t full of bad jokes, rather intriguing moments like the canonization of a cancelled action figure, the big finale to the Battle of Eriadu, a new adventure for Poe Dameron and BB-8, and Kylo Ren being Gradulla the Hutt’s prisoner, among other things! So you know, quite the showering of weird comic moments (had to make a joke there somewhere)! Check out April 2025’s Star Wars comics solicitations below.

Comic News: Star Wars (2025) Goes Post-Return of the Jedi In May

After the past five years of heavily connected comics, with a bunch of big crossovers about Qi’ra’s return as the head of Crimson Dawn and even a spooky droid virus, Marvel has already shown their 10th Anniversary year would be a little more diversified, timeline-wise. There’s the Sequel Trilogy era Legacy of Vader or the pre-Prequel Era Jedi Knights, but this latest announcement shows they will continue their tradition of having a Star Wars series set in the successive era from the last: Alex Segura and Phil Noto will bring Marvel into the post-Return of the Jedi era with their Star Wars (2025 aka Vol. 3) in May! Head below for the full covers and some scant details from the first solicit. Continue reading “Comic News: Star Wars (2025) Goes Post-Return of the Jedi In May”
