I can’t believe we’re on what’s being called the third season of The High Republic Show! Host Krystina Arielle is hilarious as ever, from the skit with the Yoda statue to her presence in interviews, it’s a blessing she’s still with the team. The first show of the season and the latest for Phase II does a great job catching up fans on what’s all happened so far, and while it has some interior sneak peek for upcoming content, it’s clear they are holding back a bit for the Celebration Europe panel in April. Head below for the new looks ahead.
Speaking of Celebration, James Waugh joins Arielle for the show to answer some questions and hype what’s to come, but he’s a little coy with the big event coming in April. He’s willing to talk a little more about Young Jedi Adventures (out May 4), saying Kai is the main character, Yoda will appear very often, and it’s very much a part of the larger story of the era still, while his hype for The Acolyte is encouraging to say the least, but he promises more at Celebration for both. And, as we saw from the official panel description earlier this week, expect the first details about Phase III! But unfortunately, he revealed Star Wars Eclipse will have a presence at Celebration too, and while I can only hope it’s to announce a new dev team is working on the game, I don’t have a lot of faith Lucasfilm has actually listened to the continued call to #BlackoutStarWarsEclipse due to Quantic Dream’s founder being a homophobic, sexist, all-around terrible human being. May everyone who attends the panel let it be known how fans feel about the game!
The biggest thing he teased for the remainder of Phase II, which is all set to wrap in May, is the “Night of Sorrows” will be an important event across much the final wave of content. This was a night referenced towards the end of Phase I as taking place on Dalna and involving a “misunderstanding” with the Jedi that’s felt a century later. I’d love to say more, as I’ve read some of the upcoming material, but it’s going to be quite the way to end the Phase, I will say that!
Lastly, here are all the teases for Phase II and elsewhere, starting with The High Republic #7 – Phase II interiors:
This followed by The High Republic – The Blade #4 previews, showing off the big battle to come:
Next there are some goodies from The Edge of Balance: Precedence, which will be one of the final pieces for Phase II and, as we can see in the previews, will cover a lot of time since Marchion Ro is in these early pages:
Next up is the in-universe The Chronicles of the Jedi preview pages, which fans in the UK have already gotten their hands on:
And lastly are parts of the upcoming Timelines’ section on the High Republic:
Keep your eyes on the Manor for more High Republic goodies as they role in, including reviews for all of the above (minus Eclipse, if that ever actually happens)!
