Alphabet Squadron, written by Alexander Freed, is the beginning of a trilogy involving a unique, ragtag group of pilots hunting down one of the Empire’s most feared TIE Fighter Wings, Shadow Wing, in a post-Return of the Jedi world. Its micro-level view of the larger conflict, with a focus on multifaceted, psychologically complex characters makes it a fresh and unique start to a larger trilogy. Alphabet Squadron Gets Comic TIE-in, Trilogy Announcement, and Cover Reveal
Announced early last year, the Alphabet Squadron novel written by Alexander Freed is now a trilogy, while it’ll also have a comic miniseries TIE-in (what a pun) called TIE Fighter from Marvel, penned by Jody Houser. NYCC 2018: Alphabet Squadron Novel, Shadow of Vader Comic Announced, New “Age of…” Maxiseries Details and More! (UPDATED)
The NYCC 2018 Publishing Panel brought us news of a new novel, Alphabet Squadron, a new comic miniseries, Shadow of Vader, a cover for Master & Apprentice, plus some minor details on the “Age of Star Wars” comic maxiseries, while other panels included a closeup look at the soon to be released Women of the Galaxy.
