Canon Comic Review: Darth Vader – Black, White & Red #3 & #4

– Spoiler Review –

After not quite proving itself necessary or distinct, with stories often feeling much the same to showcase the titular Sith Lord’s might, I took a break and decided to review the final two issues of Darth Vader: Black, White & Red together, as one thing was clear after it ended: while the art was often great and outstanding, more Vader was not what we or this series needed. Mynock Manor Suggests Captain Phasma Expanded Content 1

Staying at hotels, B&Bs, and even Airbnb’s there are often concierge services available about what to see and do in the area you’re visiting, so we’ve opened the concierge desk at the Manor to offer suggestions on what to read, watch, and enjoy when wanting to find out more about your favorite Star Wars characters now that you have the free time to do so! Canon Comic Miniseries Review: Age of Rebellion

Age of Rebellion Miniseries Review 2

Age of Rebellion is the middle “Age” of the Age of Star Wars maxiseries, but having to follow in the footsteps of Houser and team’s Republic seemed like a difficult job. Greg Pak, a few other writers, and the various artists along for the ride delved into the latest “Age” with aplomb, and while most of it was simply good, it’s highs were quite the zenith. Continue reading “Canon Comic Miniseries Review: Age of Rebellion”

Canon Comic Review: Target Vader #1

Target Vader #1

Target Vader finds a group of bounty hunters, one from Legends past, out to take down, you guessed it, Darth Vader himself. With issue #1, this latest Vader-focused series might be playing a bit too much into the nostalgia factor with a Legends resurrection and can’t quite avoid making readers ask “why more Vader,” but it does have some intriguing mysteries I might want to see solved. In the interest of time, I’m only reviewing the first issue, but will return to review the whole miniseries once it’s completed later this year. Continue reading “Canon Comic Review: Target Vader #1”

Lando Double or Nothing #4
