December is full of endings: the end of the 2019 calendar year, the end of the Skywalker Saga with The Rise of Skywalker, and the end of Phase 1 of Marvel’s Star Wars comics??!!!!??? That’s right, with the announcement of Empire Ascendant one-shot earlier today, the beginning of the end for Marvel’s first Phase, as it were, has arrived. And that includes Doctor Aphra, much to this fan’s giant dismay, though it’s not all endings, as December sees the start of The Rise of Kylo Ren miniseries! Star Wars Comics August 2019 Solicitations

By the end of August 2019, both the 14-acre Star Wars theme park expansions will be open, signaling a new era for ways to interact with the Saga, making it feel a little less far, far away. And as fans gear up for The Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian, the comics continue the beat of their own drums, though with the Galaxy’s Edge and TIE Fighter minis coming to an end, what might take their place? We don’t have an answer yet, so spend August enjoying Doctor Aphra antics, the early beginnings of Greg Pak’sStar Wars, and Kylo Ren marooned on a planet with General Hugs Hux in the Age of Resistance, among others! Star Wars Comics June 2019 Solicitations

By June 2019, we’ll be halfway through the year, marching ever closer to Episode IX and the first live-action TV series, but you won’t find anything related to those in this solicitation just yet. But with Star Wars Celebration Chicago 2019 coming mid-April, just before July’s solicitations will go live, we’ll be getting plenty of news regarding upcoming comic projects, especially since you’ll see below June finds Kieron Gillen exiting the Star Wars series and the Vader – Dark Visions miniseries comes to a spooky end. This is the first December without a Star Wars movie release since 2015, so when Star Wars Resistance takes an inevitable winter break, what better to snuggle down with than some new comics!? Star Wars Comics November 2018 Solicitations

Star Wars comics in November of 2018 have received their solicitations, so come along and peer into the comic’s future! November will see the release of a brand new miniseries, Han Solo – Imperial Cadet, which covers his time as, you guessed it, an Imperial Cadet, while both the Star Wars and Doctor Aphra series begin new arcs, with SW finally getting a new artist (!) and Aphra making it past the benchmark 25th issue. UPDATE: IDW’s solicitations have come in and one of their issues in November will tie-in to Star Wars Resistance, the new animated show! All that and more, below!
