I was already conflicted over my feelings for June 2025’s Star Wars comics, but I’m even more so after the big news: Doctor Aphra returns in her next series!! I’m beyond hyped to have her particular brand of chaos back and love she’s launching during Pride Month, but June also contains the big finale to the entire The High Republic initiative (for now), which I’m both excited for and concerned as hell for! Star Wars Comics May 2025 Solicitations

The world might be in disarray, but damn it if Star Wars Day aka May the Fourth won’t try its best to cheer us all up a little bit, hopefully! And when the day and deals are done, all our retail therapy completed, there’s still plenty of Star Wars comics to enjoy as well, like the start of Star Wars (2025), a kaiju special in Jedi Knights, Kylo Ren visiting Naboo, and the Battle of Eraidu reaching its epic ending(truly this time)! Star Wars Comics April 2025 Solicitations

I could open this up with a variation on the joke about ‘April showers’ but I feel like I’ve done it before and done it dirty already, so no need to put you, or me, through that again. But I can say April 2025’s Star Wars comics aren’t full of bad jokes, rather intriguing moments like the canonization of a cancelled action figure, the big finale to the Battle of Eriadu, a new adventure for Poe Dameron and BB-8, and Kylo Ren being Gradulla the Hutt’s prisoner, among other things! Star Wars Comics March 2025 Solicitations

Star Wars Comics February 2025 Solicitations

Marvel is slowly revealing what they have in store for 2025 and beyond and Dark Horse is getting to the end of their High Republic content, which means February 2025 Star Wars comics might be one of the smallest release slates in years. But it won’t be quiet, as at least three new series are debuting, one being the once thought dead The Rise of Skywalker adaptation, another being Marvel’s The High Republic finale series, and lastly, the Legacy of Vader on-going! Star Wars Comics January 2025 Solicitations

January is usually a time of new beginnings for most people, especially as they start their attempts at New Year’s resolutions (which I believe in you, you can do it!), but for Marvel and mostly Dark Horse Star Wars comics in January 2025, it’s more about endings. On Marvel’s side, their big The Battle of Jakku maxiseries meets its climactic titular battle, Ewok adventures end, and the publisher looks back at their 10 years of comic legacy (which means I’ve been reviewing comics for 10 years now here and I’ll have to unpack that later). For Dark Horse, there’s finales to Echoes of Fear and Tales from the Occlusion Zone, while their main THRA series marches towards the era’s end, but they also bring something new: a Bad Batch miniseries! Star Wars Comics December 2024 Solicitations

Fans might be hunkering down for the winter, ready to enjoy some warm drinks and visits with family, but Marvel and Dark Horse have a packed and exciting December 2024 set for Star Wars comics! On the Marvel side, besides some Ewok fun, it’s all about the big Battle of Jakku maxiseries, which sees it wrap up its second arc and kick start it’s final one during the month, while Dark Horse’s High Republic-focused series not only have Eraidu’s growing tensions and the search for the fabled Rod of Ages, but the BIG WEDDING SPECTACULAR between Lula Talisola and Zeen Mrala! Star Wars Comics October 2024 Solicitations

Marvel is taking its Star Wars comics beyond Return of the Jedi in October, with both an Ewoks miniseries and the beginning of The Battle of Jakku maxiseries, and I will say this works very well as my birthday gift! Thank you, Marvel! As the Battle of Jakku is releasing almost weekly, we have the opening chunk of its 12-issue story to enjoy, as well as the ending of the Inquisitors miniseries, and lots of The High Republic goodness thanks to Dark Horse, so head below to read all about it!

Star Wars Comics September 2024 Solicitations

In the early 2000/2010’s, September always felt big in Star Wars, be it the release of video games, the films on DVD in new cuts, or the premiere of a new season of The Clone Wars, so it only seems fitting the latest era of comics comes to a giant-sized end during said month with issue #50 for Star Wars (Vol. 2) and Darth Vader (Vol. 3). There is an The Acolyte tie-in and another issue of the Inquisitor-focused miniseries from Marvel to enjoy as well, while Dark Horse continues to deliver more High Republic content than fans can hope, so see what’s all in store in September’s 2024 Star Wars comic solicitations!
