Star Wars Comics September 2024 Solicitations

In the early 2000/2010’s, September always felt big in Star Wars, be it the release of video games, the films on DVD in new cuts, or the premiere of a new season of The Clone Wars, so it only seems fitting the latest era of comics comes to a giant-sized end during said month with issue #50 for Star Wars (Vol. 2) and Darth Vader (Vol. 3). There is an The Acolyte tie-in and another issue of the Inquisitor-focused miniseries from Marvel to enjoy as well, while Dark Horse continues to deliver more High Republic content than fans can hope, so see what’s all in store in September’s 2024 Star Wars comic solicitations!

Star Wars Comics August 2024 Solicitations

Our look at the August 2024 Star Wars comics have arrived, with the solicitations feeling a little light, and getting even lighter, as one series comes to a close. The end for The High Republic – Phase III is coming, though it doesn’t look like it could be the happiest of endings given Nihil mad scientist Baron Boolan has Sskeer in his grasps! Elsewhere, the two main Marvel series, Star Wars (Vol. 2) and Darth Vader (Vol. 3) sound like they’re building towards some big endings for stories as the era looks to wrap up sooner than later, while Dark Horse has some intriguing options for The High Republic fans with plenty of Phase III stories (and is that a Sith?!?). High Republic News: Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone and Echoes of Fear Revealed, June 2025 Phase III Ends, and More!

The High Republic Adventures series from Dark Horse looks to be the incubator for a lot of stories in Phase III of the High Republic, as while there’s already some one-shots and a miniseries, TWO new miniseries have been officially announced/revealed recently: Echoes of Fear and Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone! While one was revealed due to advanced comic solicitations, both got the grand reveal at the Portsmouth Comic Con, where the team also showed off some covers and interiors for other upcoming works, as well as setting a hard date on when the entirety of Phase III will end: June 2025! It might seem sooner than we’d all hope, but it’s sort of nice to know to plan ahead with tissue purchases. Head below for all the new reveals and details! Star Wars Comics July 2024 Solicitations

The 2024 July Star Wars comic solicitations are here and, well, one wouldn’t be wrong for being even more interested in the advanced solicits for August that Dark Horse included! But July 2024 isn’t a slouch when it comes to what it’ll have to offer, as the deadly Inquisitorious take center stage in the launch of their new miniseries, Inquisitors, the final Darth Maul: Black, White & Red looks to give the series a memorable finale, Luke Skywalker will be hanging out with one of his mother’s doppelgangers (?!), Ty Yorrick while have to face her past, and so much more! As for the August reveals, The High Republic fans will want to take extra note of what’s to come! So head below and check out the July 2024 Star Wars comic solicitations!

High Republic News: Tears of the Nameless and Beware the Nameless Covers Revealed

While the comics continue their part of Phase III: Trials of the Jedi for The High Republic era, the first Wave of novels are done and Wave II is on its way starting in June with Temptation of the Force. High Republic News: Saber for Hire Announced, Nameless Concept Art, and More!

With the third and final Phase of The High Republic era just getting started, we’re slowly coming to understand the scope and scale of where the story may all go. While we might know all the novel names for Phase III, it’s clear stories still remain to be announced and we got our first new one: Dark Horse’s The High Republic Adventures: Saber for Hire, starting April 10!! Jedi turned monster hunter Ty Yorrick is back in a starring role, with writer Cavan Scott and artist Rachael Stott returning to show us her next adventure, where we’ll see her face new challenges behind the Nihil’s Stormwall, including trying to be a Master! Elsewhere in High Republic news, we got our first synopsis for the upcoming young-adult novel Tears of the Nameless, while new concept art was released of said scary creatures recently! The High Republic’s final Phase’s first adult novel is George Mann’s The High Republic – The Eye of Darkness, which lives up to its title, and then some, by giving the Nihil their Light of the Jedi moment. It’s a rousing adventure of a novel blasting right into the new Phase, never relenting in its tension while still catching up readers on the new, deadly status quo, plus diving deep with favorite characters for the journey ahead, leaving readers eager to see where and how this Phase will wrap it all up. The High Republic is back, and Tales of Light and Life is leading the charge into Phase III by bringing together the past, present, and future of the initiative into one bound volume. And what a volume it is. If you’re a frequent reader here at the Manor, you know I absolutely loved Phase I of THR: I bought every variant of the novels (so, uh, four editions of Light of the Jedi and The Rising Storm; three editions of The Fallen Star, Out of the Shadows, and Midnight Horizon, etc.) and a lot of the comic variants, but Phase II fell rather flat to me. Thankfully, Tales of Light and Life comes in blasters blazing, creating new, exciting possibilities for the initiative and getting me excited again for the future.
