Canon Comic Review: A New Legacy #1

Marvel celebrated 10 years of taking back over Star Wars comics this January via A New Legacy #1, a special one-shot which brings together several notable writers and artists from the past 10 years with a series of short stories focusing on characters created in the comics. While it at least starts strong, and overall is a fun time, what it’s lacking makes it an overall (good and bad) fitting representation of their 10 years of comics. Another year, another set of revelations! Revelations (2023) #1 does what its predecessor did, teasing the future of Marvel’s Star Wars comics output, but unlike last year’s entry, it offers little stories introducing us to new and intriguing characters or series to come in 2024. Canon Comic Review: Sana Starros #1

Since 2015, Sana Starros has been intermixing across various comics, often in a supporting role or co-lead role, be it coming after Han Solo for a botched job or either trying to kill or save her ex, Doctor Aphra, and now she’s taking the spotlight in this eponymous miniseries, a long overdue right for such a memorable and intriguing character. Written by Justina Ireland, with art by Pere Pérez, Sana Starros #1 explodes with a infectious energy thanks to a snappy, intriguing script and vibrant art that promises a beautiful yet wild ride across the miniseries’ 5 issues.
