With October closing in, our first look at the upcoming LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales special arrived with the trailer above. It looks about as you’d expect from another LEGO special, humorous, delightful, and full of winks and nods to all parts of the universe and pop-culture at large. I will say, I felt like Christian Slater for Ren’s voice, the leader of the Knight of Ren before Ben Solo, would be absolutely perfect and the trailer confirms it, so I’m already sold. Head below for details on the three scary tales Darth Vader’s old servant Vaneé will tell visitors to the new Vader’s Castle Hotel and check out the short when it hits Disney+ on October 1! LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales Spooks Disney+ in October
After the refreshing Life Day fun in last years’ The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, LEGO returns instead with a sinister plan in mind: scare all the Disney+ subscribers with some Terrifying Tales! LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales, the premise of which sounds an awful lot like the Vader’s Castle series of yearly frights from IDW, will premiere on Disney+ October 1, with stars like Tony Hale, Christian Slater, Dana Synder, and more bringing the spooky special to life. TV Review: The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special
Star Wars and the words Holiday Special have been a thing of myths since the first and much maligned one released on TV 22 years ago, buried deep by George Lucas. Watching it, through grainy YouTube videos or other means, is like a rite of passage for many fans, despite its bizarre and questionable quality. And now, in the craziest year of all, LEGO decided to try to make Holiday Specials a part of the Star Wars experience again, and much like Yoda always says, they didn’t try, they actually did make Holiday Specials something you’d like to watch again with Star Wars. The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, bundled with humor, wrapped in fun appearances, and containing a solid little story with characters new and old, is an inoffensive special fans of all ages can find some joy in watching. At EA Play 2019, a pre-E3 2019 event put on by game publisher EA, Respawn Entertainment took the stage to unveil our first look at Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay, while a new trailer premiered the day after (see above). I wasn’t initially sold on the game from the reveal trailer, but after nearly 15 minutes of gameplay (see below), I managed to more than fall in love with the game, while Game Informer’s cover story on the game blew the lid off some intriguing new details cementing my excitement for my game. LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures: “Crossing Paths”
-Spoiler Review-
The best laid plans of mice and men, right? After declaring the end of wi-fi woes and the beginning of a regular review schedule of The Freemaker Adventures, fate had other plans. Is this increasingly harder to get a hold of show worth tracking down? Does the promise of two massive cameos from the movies (yes, bigger than Dengar and Lando) entice you at all?

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Review: “Peril on Kashyyyk”
-Spoiler Review-
I faced about three weeks of technical difficulties (read: no Wi-Fi and no access to Disney XD), but my reviews are back! Ever since LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures started to move forward from setting up the plot and context of the LEGO canon, I’ve been more and more excited for the continuing adventures of the Freemaker family. This episode tones down a bit of the goofy humor and tries to stuff the 22 minutes with more plot and more adventure. Does this shift in tone work for the show? Read on to find out!

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Review: “The Lost Treasure of Cloud City”
-Spoiler Review-
There’s a common adage shared amongst a lot of Star Wars fans that most Star Wars TV shows really hit their stride in episode four. The Clone Wars gained a lot of support with episode 1×05 “Rookies” where we saw a new batch of Clone Troopers ward off an invasion and protect their home base. Rebels became remarkably good with the airing of Rise of the Old Masters, in which the crew of The Ghost went to rescue Luminara Undili from the clutches of the Empire, only to be caught by the Grand Inquisitor. What about The Freemaker Adventures? Did the fourth episode make a great show even better?

For those watching The Freemaker Adventures on the Watch Disney XD app, we were shown the first and third episode of the series on Monday, the date of the premiere. The third episode, “Zander’s Joyride”, features a lot of fun callbacks to The Phantom Menace and has a heavier focus on character development for both our heroes and villains. As it is the third episode of the series, spoiler warnings will definitely apply for this review. Is the series worth pursuing past the pilot? I think so. Read on to find out why!
