Video Game Review: Star Wars Outlaws

– Spoiler Review –

From the moment Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment announced Star Wars Outlaws, I was smitten, especially given the many starts and stops over the past near decade of similarly rogue-ish focused Star Wars games. My hype was pretty excessive by the time I sat down to play Outlaws for the very first time, and after 45 hours and two months to finish much of the game, I can safely say it lived up to my expectations more often than it didn’t. Final Skeleton Crew Trailer Hits Those 80’s Vibes

Just over 2 and half months since the first trailer, and a little over a month until its premiere, Lucasfilm has unleashed the synth-heavy, 80’s throwback final trailer for Skeleton Crew! Check out the neat retro poster and some new details we’ve learned below! Continue reading “Final Skeleton Crew Trailer Hits Those 80’s Vibes”

Star Wars Comics January 2025 Solicitations

January is usually a time of new beginnings for most people, especially as they start their attempts at New Year’s resolutions (which I believe in you, you can do it!), but for Marvel and mostly Dark Horse Star Wars comics in January 2025, it’s more about endings. On Marvel’s side, their big The Battle of Jakku maxiseries meets its climactic titular battle, Ewok adventures end, and the publisher looks back at their 10 years of comic legacy (which means I’ve been reviewing comics for 10 years now here and I’ll have to unpack that later). For Dark Horse, there’s finales to Echoes of Fear and Tales from the Occlusion Zone, while their main THRA series marches towards the era’s end, but they also bring something new: a Bad Batch miniseries! Head below to check out January 2025 Star Wars comics solicitations now!!

Comic News: Kylo Ren Comic from Charles Soule Announced for 2025

Having just teased fans at NYCC, Charles Soule’s next Marvel comic for Star Wars has been announced: a Kylo Ren focused on-going series named Legacy of Vader. Set in the year between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, the series looks to explore the fallout of all his actions so far, something the films didn’t have as much time to digest (nor did fans due to little tie-in media). With art by the talented Luke Ross, which some preview pages were also revealed, Legacy of Vader starts February 2025 so head below now for all the details and first look. Really beyond the Hyperspace Stories maxiseries, Dark Horse’s comics output has largely been about The High Republic Adventures and its various spin-offs and one-shots, and while there was plenty of news and previews galore of the various storylines (like Alyssa Wong is writing an upcoming one-shot) at this year’s NYCC panel, new, non-THRA content was focused on as well, including a Poe Dameron miniseries! Head below for first looks and all the details! Continue reading “NYCC ’24 Dark Horse Panel: Poe Dameron Miniseries, Alyssa Wong High Republic One-shot, Previews, and More!”
